People still overwhelmingly drive

specially the working people

riiight, it is the environment

because you have to get to work!

Because all these factory sites have terrible public transport connections

if u work a late or early shift

you can forget about using public transport

the only way u can do it is by working nightshifts

take one of the latest buses there, take the earliest back home

and they still havent figured out why ppl continue using their cars even after getting told over and over

I mean id like to see someone go bike for 15Km after they stood on their feet for 8 hours hauling 15KG loads all day

Because busses are inconvenient, they don't come when you need it and if you do overtime, you#re fucked.

And in some cases you drive for hours to get home when the drive is like 15-30min

ppl dont trust them because theyre always late

i worked at an office about 45km from home. had to pay 5€ a day in "city passage fees"

i had 2 hours with public transport and 35-45min with car...

and here tha last bus goes like 5pm to my place from "the city"...

that is exactly the problem here

and they drive like every 2h or so

connections to industrial sites are horrible

so this tax is punishing working ppl

I must admit that i am a politician my self, local level though.
It is seriously really hard to work towards downsizing goverment and it is very unpopular amongst both the people and the goverment it self

who wouldve thought that people are not in favor of putting themselves out of a job

its why it always keeps growin

untill public calls a halt to it

If that is ever going to happen on a large scale enough to give any real results :/
