you cannot use the term to define itself
Wikipedia...
"Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/) is a form of radical authoritarian ultranationalism,[1][2][3][4] characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition and strong regimentation of society and of the economy,[5] which came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe."
I didn't use the term to define itself, I would say that one should define a system by how it was implemented, giving some weight to intent obviously
Further, that definition is too broad. What would make any socialist state not fascist?
globalism?
Where's the line there? Did the USSR's cessation of expansion, or Yugoslavia's lack thereof disqualify them as socialist? Did Hitler's expansion make him socialist? Was Stalin a fascist for pursuing "National Communism"?
it is over nebulous
"nationalism is right-wing"
Are we ever going to admit that the current or mainstream political spectrum tables are completely stupid?
@Timcast you keep on talking bout ending wars to save money, ever heard of petrodollar ?
ending wars might actually make usa lose money
Other people claim that the Oil isn't the reason for the wars but an ally is.
The US gets like maybe fiver percent of it's oil from outside US, Canada, Mexico and Venizeula. But the EU gets it's oil from the Middle East so it is Ally and Oil and neither
@Stefan Payne I love David Wood. He commented on my channel once, very cool.
Yeah, he's one of the best examples for what we need Religion
I don't even calc it as a table
I look at it as a classical DnD Ethical Allignment Table
I put this on my second channel. Ocrazyo-Cortez is proposing uniforms for work AND LOUNGE. This is full blown communism type stuff!!

lawful/chaotic and good/evil, but in this case it's authoritarian/libertarian and progressive/conservative
1984 is coming
it's already here
I HAVE A JOKE IMAGE FOR THIS CONVERSATION
YAYY
i was too late, wasn't i
nope. works nicely
It's not all that nebulous if you use implementation and not broad, nebulous concepts designed to arbitrarily separate fascism from communism
Like the whole point of keeping fascism vague is so that it can be used wherever, lazily
But as far as I can tell, what it really boiled down to was a focus on the nation as a state, a focus on the military, and what can best be described as a command economy of economic opportunism, if we want the essence of Fascist Italy
Everything is focused around the good of the state, the economy's purpose is to benefit "the nation", rather than individuals, and this can happen within a controlled market (implicitly or explicitly) or via socialized programs.
Whereas the *intent* in a socialist state is to do things for the benefit of the workers, economic change is in the direction of nationalization (so that it may be owned by the proles when the state is dissolved), and the goal (as mentioned prior) is to eventually get rid of the state
However in terms of raw economic policy, both fascism and socialism could be considered viable (insofar as we ignore the non viability of all of this) for producing the communist end state. Marx himself spoke highly of both the gains of capitalism and its liberalising factors. The issue, he argued, was that it was an incomplete revolution, and that there was a further stage *beyond* capitalism
@Khanclansith thing isn't about us getting oil. Thing is opec trades oil only in usa, as such all countries need oil and have usd reserves.. now imagine all those countries no longer need usd... they sell it... that's likely to cause one hell of an inflation and loss of value.. like it happened when usa dropped gold.
not like us would be only one affected it'd prolly be one hell of an worldwide economic crisis
Stephen Harper is not a Nazi, he just supports many of the same policies.
