It is something that happens when a side dehumanizes a group of people for political gain based off of their physical traits, their community/location, their religion and their opinions, and their wealth. I do see this dehumanization on the right as well, so it is important to realize for people that, even if some people are saying stuff which only someone delusional would say, they are just as human and entitled to an opinion. It does sort of create a problem that ruins "agree to disagree" when your argument is that they aren't allowed to disagree without being fined by the government though.
I do notice the radical/extremely far left having a list of all of the political/opinion based traits of donald trump, and if you agree with anything that trump says, even if it is something reasonable, then you aren't with them anymore, and whatever trump said must be opposed

I have yet to see anything that will remote help fight climate change proposed by anyone because they all ignore reality: any new construction of anything has a massive carbon footprint and we consume too much to be able to switch over to green technologies quick enough. New construction of most if not all green technologies has a massive up front carbon footprint, and our demand for power is insane. The simple reality is that in the time frame politicians have laid out, we are fucked. You are better off investing on getting to and colonizing mars that trying to make the whole plant go green because i'm willing to bet we can colonized mars fast enough to beat the global warming deadline and if we can live on mars, then it probably won't matter much what happens to earth we will be able to adjust.
