is it racist to say that blacks commit more crime? and poverty in general (which has more blacks) commit more crime?
I don't think its a race thing,I think its a poverty, walk of life issue more than anything for the record
^more like who is already in the system...
and pin it on them..
which is a problem also
but we, as a society, have to be real with ourselves on the actual problems before they can be fixed
getting people out of the "system" whichever system that is
can only be a good thing
but i doubt they were like, oh let's pin this on that one black kid across the street, it's more like, click and drag and put whoever they have info on and place it as the suspect and close the case..
be it goverment support for them to do little to nothing, the feedback loop of incarceration, etc
could be
sometimes things aren't nefarious
sometimes they are
its hard to judge
and either case it's wrong
```In all, four officers interviewed by Scott said the command staff told them to frame people but only De la Torre specifically said they were ordered to target blacks.```
this essentially says it..
well
they could be not telling the whole story to protect themselves from being called racists
i.e. are the other officers all white?
send the shit up, why would you want to carry it..
so yes it *says* it, but it doesn't *essentially* say it 😃
because officers all the time get the heat for "racist" actions
rightly or wrongly
well this would be the perfect time to snitch and get the racist tag off..
but they said it was only that one dude..
some of them are power trippers that shouldn't be near a gun let alone be an officer of the peace
there are those...
always will be..
Police training actually encourages making people like that. saw it happen to 2 people I knew who went to the acadamy
i was watching that but it broke
huh?
to racially profile?
racial profiling is a very grey area...
yep, borked
like, that can't be the only reason..
if you are gonna use it, you only use it to observe if anything else comes out of it
it encourages cops to profile
you can't use racial profiling as the reason for the encounter, that's dumb and judges will toss your encounter as illegal
