I can't comment on being more radical. Tim's stance is pretty standard in America. "Free speech absolutism" is pretty absolute in the US and was pretty close to universal until recently. Traditionally, the primary threat to free speech absolutism in the US was the right trying to ban things like rock music, degrading images of Christ and suggestive music for being indecent (the Religious Right, as it was called).
I believe they shadowbanned Liberalists UK
I also should note I've only been on here a week so I can't say if it was less absolutist in the past.
I am also aware that there's alot of stuff the US protects that would be illegal in places like Europe.
i'm not sure if imgur shadowbans comments based on a word filter or link filter, or if i've been shadowbanned from imgur
because a few comment responses i left that contained links to evidence of tim's favorite obama related topic seem to not appear on the actual comment chains, only in my own profile's comment list 🤔
and they're all at 1 point instead of the usual -10, so i know they aren't showing up for other people either
You know, it's been over a month since any of ian miles Cheong's tweets have shown up on my twitter feed
People outside of us are raging because they got banned in r6 siege for type the answer to "what is cartman's superhero name in southpark" in chat in the game
And they dont even know what the word means
But they got banned due to toxic behavior and was yelling expletitive on stream
i don't watch southpark so i don't even know the answer
Also someone name has the word "chink" in it, guy gets banned for typing in his name
@Tohob Here's a hint. It's Southpark, so it's offensive. Cartman dresses as a Raccoon.
>working as intended
uhhh is it coon man?
Yea xD
excellent
And guy gets banned for toxoc behavior
Because coon is a bad word
Same for chink when someones name is chink
that half the chat was asterisks
I actually didn't know 'coon meant anything other than "Raccoon" until everyone started getting so hypersensitive about it.
I remember when the word penetration was censored in DDO
So you couldn't talk about spell pen in actual DnD or other DnD products
I think spoon was on the list too
i'm from the US and all i know about it is that it's apparently offensive. idk why and i've never really heard anyone use it
It's offensive *in* the US tho
Lol
It's an older racial slur
These past few years have taught me so much about how people will find anything and everything to be an insult. Like bananas.
That now just gets used on black conservatives for the most part
`coolest monkey in the jungle`
I still don't entirely get it.
>H&M gets trashed in south africa
Every time that phrase is uttered, an H&M mysteriously gets destroyed
Nobody did it tho
No arrests to make here
>assume you're being called a monkey
>make literal ape noises while you trash a store
Yeah, so the weird thing is that literally everyone on this planet is evolved from Monkeys. So like ???
