yup
Oh probably
media vs media
It's hard to read news from multiple sources and be pro NYT at this point
Also. Thread locked.
Doubly so when they're hiring racists
I'll be honest though. The NYT has been a better paper than most in their reporting.
This isn't a good incident for them. But they have been a bit better than, say, WaPo. Even if they're pretty biased.
scott adams met Trump today
Washington Post occasionally wakes up and posts something decent, and then goes back to scraping at the hole they've made in the barrel
There's a few sites like that actually. It's bizarre
also
such pettiness
Why are they so determined to go to war over an election?
looking into the reddit thread with ceddit. It appears most removed comments were calling out the mods for deleting other threads. And then they look random. Mostly hitting joke comments.
Here's a good deleted comment [+138]
Where did the other thread go?
Anyway, the NYT standing by this person reinforces that two things can be true imo-
Trump is a blowhard
It is totally understandable why rural whites flocked to him and believe him when he says that the media lies and hates them.
For another example, look at the contempt the VOX interviewer has for rural whites in this article:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vox.com/platform/amp/2018/3/13/17053886/trump-rural-america-populism-racial-resentment
"Fair enough. The title of your book, The Left Behind, rubbed me the wrong way. It seems to me that many of these people haven’t been left behind; they’ve chosen not to keep up. But the sense of victimization appears to overwhelm everything else."
They also seem to be hitting posts about a 'white backlash' of any sort or people celebrating her staying.
Interesting.
@Beemann because they can't dare to challenge each other. Because the base lives in a bubble.
I seriously think the Democratic party is afraid of their base.
A mere year ago you had College Democrats defending the College Republicans and arguing the Republican speakers should be allowed to speak and they should be allowed events without getting harrassed.
Without fail, the College Dem leadership would be excoriated by their rank-and-file and the SJWs on campus and they'd be forced to backpedal.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar dynamic in play with the left right now.
Republicans were split between multiple factions and then had to make compromises (or refused to, in some cases) while Dems just drifted toward the mean
They're collectively hyperventilating over Charlottesville and are desperately out-competing each other to oppose the Republicans.
But now neither party knows where the establishment base is
But Republicans know the other factions exist, and Dems just have to throw darts because they're so removed
At least that's the way it looks to an outsider
holy fuck i didn't know tucker interviewed tommy ?
It's a good example of why that format sucks.
He's about to start talking about attacks on his family "OOP. We're out of time."
Oh we're out of time. Oh well.
Bye everybody.
Story over.
@Scribblehatch you know that shit bothers me when tucker does that
It's not his fault.
i don't like it
i know it's not his fault but it's fucked up
But it's turbo-annoying all the same.
Yeah.
