I thought that was self explanatory.
I'm embarassed to admit I've still never seen Evangelion
It's a neverending tournament of checkers where checkers isn't played past the 1st turn.
@Schedrevka oh my ... its a good anime
Until the last two episodes.
Agree those were some weird shit
And End of Evangelion doesn't get much better.
I've given that film multiple chances. It disappoints me harder each time.
The story is great until they figure out there's no proper way to end it.
I just don't really care much for mecha stuff even if that's more of an excuse for the characters to take action
A super good anime if you like dark stories.... https://myanimelist.net/anime/13125/Shinsekai_yori
Also I want to watch Gunbusters first
Ive seen this anime like 6-7 time already
It has a dark story but super good
I'll probably check it out
Did you guys check out the first episode of FLCL Alternative?
Seems like it's going to explore the slow drift apart of friends and the inevitability of adulthood and lack of place in the world as opposed to the original's more straightforward story of growing up and choosing your destiny
I hope it actually ends up good.
Everything you just explained right there
Is why I suspect so few kids are being had.
We haven't fixed it, so why add new players so flippantly?
Withhold what the system wants, and the system may change.
The opposite is also true.
It's definitely a sentiment that seems to resonate strongly in Japan at the moment.
There's a great manga ongoing right now with a similar theme called 'dead dead demon's dededestruction' that I'd strongly recommend.
Made by the same guy who made Oyasumi Punpun
I hated losing contact with all friends.
Absolutely hated it.
And there was virtually no way to stop it.
I don't wanna create a kid who has to go through that. Not without advice for them.
It's easy to stay in contact when you're in school, but it's rough to realize how little many of them cared about you and how little you can relate on a deeper level to them after having grown up a bit more
Immigrants who come here to america notice something about us.
We seem to operate under the assumption we'll all move far away from each other, and therefore not bother to try and make friends.
In other countries its not like that.
This "trading up" attitude.
Not just in regards to lovers, but to locations.
It's poison.
In all these unobvious ways.
I think a lot of people do have romanticized views of things. That they'll be able to move away and live a fancy new life as a fancy new person, and that they won't be happy if they don't do that, or at least convince others that they've done that.
I've lost more friends due to an instant messenger becoming SHIT.
That change from skype to discord was necessary after awhile, but I now can't talk to certain people.
