actually its possible to change the resolution in Windows to match the tv

that is most likely a problem with the screen resolution settings.

How do you do that

right click on the desktop

you have Win10?

you should see something that says resolution

resolution should be on there after you select display settings

roughly middle of the screen

It’s not detecting another display

you shouldn't have multiple displays if one 1 screen is hooked up

aka just the TV connected

not another display you just want to lower the resoultion

try to put in on 1280 x 720

you should see this, you want to mess with the circled setting

it is a drop down, should give a list of options

i have a 8700k and a 1070gtx but still only running at 1080p

My all in one gaming computer has better res than my friends big screen TV

i'm running 1050p because when I swapped from CRT I couldn't get used to full HD 😄

@OofYeetEye what TV is it? i might be able to find an aspect ratio to help you guys narrow the range of options
