Has Gavin McInnes been removed from any other platforms yet? I know he's on CRTV which is still untouched, probably because so many other well known run-of-the-mill conservatives are part of it.
twitter didn't give a reason about why gavin was banned did they.
Half the people on CRTV are Fox contributors, so they're well known to normies and taking them down would cause a massive shitstorm.
are entrepreneurs not conservative? there is a growing market here.
Nope, blank form apparently.
i dunno, i'm starting to get the impression that market actors have no fundamental understanding of the role they play in the market, and just believe whatever
@Grenade123 there's a massive barrier to entry in creating a successful social media platform. It ain't free and even if you do get the investment to build something you're still at the mercy of payment processors, hosts, registrars, ad companies, etc
there is more here than social media
real life's better than social media.
tbh, social media its kinda useless. people use it to bitch and complain then do nothing. the people who will do something, are not generally stopped by lack of social media
its why the left loves it so much
say something that sounds nice, click share, then sit back and enjoy my good feels while nothing actually gets done
yeah it's just like this chat channel
kinda
youtube is the only one i think which actually has some value
in the same way radio does
but people have been making money from TV and radio long before the internet age, and companies like Rooster Teeth took off before youtube was even a thing and they are going strong while still offering free viewing of a lot of there stuff
Well, democracies are kinda driven by public opinion, and social media is a tool for influencing public opinion. So yeah there's an aspect of like, share, and do nothing, but then there's also an aspect of making people aware of things they wouldn't otherwise be aware of.
yes, its a way of influencing public opinion and its own by private companies with agendas
its useless
Like if social media didn't exist, Americans wouldn't really give a fuck about the European migrant crisis.
and what does it matter that we do?
there is not much we can even do outside of bitch and moan?
Because now people actually oppose bringing refugees here.
And vote accordingly.
okay, but was it really Americans that changed their mind? or their own country men?
Whereas the default otherwise would be bringing them in by the bazillions.
it certainly wasn't fucking Europeans who made Americans care about illegal immigrates. We have been complaining about them since before the internet.
in fact, we have always been shit to the largest population of migrates
legal or otherwise
Y'know what really annoys me.
if you're interested.
Okay, suppose you have major gripes about living in america, as an american.
I'm not talking about Europeans. I'm talking about Americans, who are generally insular and ignorant about the rest of the world. Without social media Americans wouldn't have even known that the migrant crisis happened, let alone have formulated an actionable opinion on the consequences of it.
"If you don't like it here you can jes GEET OWT."
Because people had always said this, I assumed the immigration process to other countries was easy.
... No it very much isn't. So why do people say it?
As soon as I learned that, I learned how stupid most adults are.
"Oh wow they just parrot each other and never verify."
