yea
If you want to see real election tampering, is the drive by the left to get rid of it. That is tampering because they know it will give them power. It is a power grab.
DNC
primary rigging
gerrymandering still being a thing
the parties pretend to be opposed to gerrymandering but they arent
I am still against gerrymandering as whole, but I am also against other forms of tampering too. If I was a leader, I would clamp down hard on people who do that, prosecute tampers.
Basically those people who try to rig elections are subverting the will of the people.
Well to me...
I usually talk to myself in some sense to get my view across and opinions. I hope that isn't annoying.
I usually put myself in position to explain what I would love to do.
We need laws that limit the way districts can be redrawn
Him... how would that work, the law should be clear and hard to argue against.
we cannot disallow redrawing but we have to make it fair
No way for them to misinterpret the law.
well its typically done based on voter demographics
so limit their ability to redraw in favor of their likely voters
What happen if they take advantage of the making new law, then they slip in a backdoor to subvert the law?
Giving themselves a advantage.
send it back
this is assuming executive position though
You know congress doesn't get time to read the whole thing.
but even before that it has to go through committees
All they have to do is hide that small text law that gives them advantage in the thousand page law.
also for something of that nature it may be necessary to have a public vote
Hmm... public law, as of lately, I have lost faith in some citizens.
which means no secret committies
No offense.
I don't know what to do.
executive action lol
ultimately its about how well its written
I don't want to give a president too much power.
Neither would I want to give power to congress or house.
Or the People...
I like seeing power split among the groups.
and whether the writer can close the loop holes at the bill stage
Too much power centralized can lead to dictatoral rule.
Separation of Powers works
Yes.
makes stuff take longer but worth it
