Yeah, this is actually why I think the nationalism thing will eventually die.

The only way to fight effectively is in a group.

And if you are just dividing yourself and not supporting other national groups, you'll eventually lose.

But I would say that there's a broader war here that alot of people are missing.

Nationalism is harmless on it's own.

No worse than cheering for a sports team.

I'd actually say that for the immediate future, nationalism is a good thing.

Except you're a part of that team.

extreme nationalism comes and goes based on the state of the world imo

I think the bigger thing is that people are looking for communities right now.

Nationalism is a relatively safe community to build IMO

It's not necessarily based on skin color.

they just go to some of the shitty communities sometimes

And it has shared interests and characteristics.

I don't want everyone to be an American.

Yeah, that's the culture war.

I don't want to eliminate everyone who's NOT American.

I just want America to be America.
