(Just finally getting to watch Tim's video. I knew what his take was going to be on the headline. Pretty funny)
I argued the same points he did without seeing them. 😛
I've earned my avatar's beanie.
If you cannot maintain your principles across unfavourable situations they are not virtues. There is no virtue without sacrifice
I don't like Islam. I know what it preaches. And I don't like it.
But there are SOOOOO many fucking problems with targeting someone based on the beliefs they hold
Well it basically boils down to - there is no value in holding a position only when it is convenient
As I said earlier and will say until I'm blue in the face
I will not support a philosophical argument that can be turned around to outlaw me.
I will not support the jailing of individuals based on their beliefs - this is described as 'thought crime'.
I think there's a lot less wrong targeting for beliefs than immutable birth characteristics.
What you believe actually... says a lot about what you're willing to do.
Are you willing to fight to defend your own liberties?
Flip the quran 5 pages in any direction
See if you can avoid calls for murder.
I don't care.
You don't?
Are you willing to fight to defend your own liberties.
I don't understand the question.
People are free to write vile shit
If you were targeted because you believe you should be free to pursue your own choices, and the powers that be say you can't
You haven't done anything
The quran isn't just 'vile shit'
but this 'libertarian' concept is a mental illness
If it was written today?
I don't care what the quran says.
--STOP NOT CARING
They are CALLS TO ACTION
Jesus christ.
This annoys me.
My principle applies regardless of what the quran says.
CALLS. TO ACTION.
"Murder this guy. Murder that guy. Murder gays."
On and on and fucking on and on.
So people who read it revoke their rights?
If you wrote it today, there'd be reasons to put you away.
Like Charles Manson.
Charles Manson didn't write a bunch of vile shit.
He killed people.
No he didn't.
