@Atkins a red pill was swallowed in that statement
For those who dont believe this is real the actual full vox article is up in <#398858182455459853>
It is and it is very depressing
Mark that is uhhhh
no offense tmg
But that was a worse explanation that tmg's original one
Lol @Blackhawk342 I have one talent
The arguement hes trying to address isnt about capability, its about willingness
Of course it doesn't account for the people. If they keep getting things for free, why should they work for the stuff? Why should they even leave the house? The money will then stop flowing into the insurance because no one will be making any more money, because money isn't needed. Once that happen inflation will skyrocket because the government will be tasked with handling the burden that used to be on the citizens, this will lead to the government printing more money. Printing money devalues money thus inflation. We would see a situation like in Venezuela. Only way to remedy this problem would to "FORCE" everyone to work, thus forced labor aka taking away their rights.
It would end up in a tyrannical rule.
Reason government will be forced to print, is because many of the tax revenue would up and disappear.
Only sales tax would be accounted for.
Mark i think you're back on the anti socialist train of thought
@Dusty Morgan chill bro
Oh sorry.
And a much larger economic scale than tmg is discussing
I kinda expanded on what he is talking about.
Sorry.
Its a good expansion and the conversation would get there eventually
It's ok just slow up and let some other people talk @Dusty Morgan
Because what you were talking about is the same thing that tmg brought up: free will to help vs being required to help
I have a complete understanding why the free stuff idea fails. T_T
I tend to go further than I need to when explaining.
Theres no level of explanation thats uncessary
but there does need to be a base for the further elaboration
Okay.
Well I used to be a socialist in thinking, then real life hit me hard.
I think a lot of the issue TMG is that people assume that people will always work if they know the system takes care of them
guys
imagine
🅱
you know?
have you ever had a dream where
you wa
you wanted to
you go wanted
Yeah people will not work because there isn't a reason too.
