@Arcbat the Xiaomi Mix will be 200$ cheaper by the end of December
wait
is still worth it getting the x220 from ebay for around 200โฌ?
well, i have a couple ssd from an old server build and the base config for that price is i5 with 4gb ram
but i have a lot of spares so 8gb is easily achievable
i used to have the x200
and i loved it
@shadowedROM I got an anet A8 3D printer for 124โฌ on gearbest.com
and it works great
w8
first print before calibration:
really happy with quality
takes about 5-6h to build total
prints really good, I mostly do cases for my ARM projects
@shadowedROM I used to build things with 18650 batteries but the LiPo single cells are really more worth it on the long ride
the basic charging circuit is dead simple
the only thing is the reverse polarity thing, but there are premade circuits in DIP and so format that solve that
for like 0,15โฌ
no, I started using the batteries because they are flat and i could mount the pcb on top and make a smaller case
indeed
I mostle use screws with things that I have to open often, in CAD i build a circular column and then I drill the inside with a tip that makes the shape of the screw
I don't know the name of the tip in English, but it makes the shape of the screw and if you drill really slow you can make it without damaging the cylinder
@shadowedROM shit, gonna order
why arethe leds a meme?
with a 12v outlet you can build some guetto lights
for your workshop or something
does the Bane mask actually work?
@shadowedROM you should read the specsheet and find the charge cicle
then use a microcontroler with a voltage comparator and a switching power supply
or you know, put like 4.2v continuously and pray
no, only if you surpass the limit
yeha, but getting more than 100 cycles from the cheap batteries is really hard
I just replace them...
I'm really fearful of housefires
you get 3000-3500mAh from a 18650
usb 2.0 is like 100mAh
if you speak the protocol you can get 500mAh maximum
per specs
but needs negotiation
you can use those cheap RC battery charger for planes and shit
they have everything

same, I used to tape the leads to a bench power supply with electrical tape when i was broke
do you think g is not full of 90iq normies?
there are generals spoonfeeding them on how to build a pc
@Tendril I stand corrected
I like Dave
are you one of the fuckers that add a shitload of 0 ohm resistors unmarked so its imposible to reverse engineer?
can you change a temp sensor on a motherboard? , I thought most sensors are etched in silicon
exceptvin embedded design...
I'd hate the fault finding thing
jtag?
sheeit
what happened after the fuckup?
what were you guys building?
I figured
super secret stuff
but hardware is much more fun
@Tendril maybe Ishould stick to software then
yeah, but i'm still at uni doing CompEng
I could go either way in my area
I took one class with FPGA design on VHDL
I hated it
yeah, it was suppose to teach you the basics to design your own logic gates and make a mux
really bad teacher
yeah, I used a spartan for another project almost drag and dropping example code
depends on what you intend
Where is my cyberpunk distopia?
I love the esp8266
I built a small accelerometer with it, really cool project
I'm not paying 20 bucks for the development boards
found a picture
it sent tcp packets to a socket that acted as a virtual serial port
and then a python app read from the serial and plotted the data
really fun
I still have like 10 esp8266 12E
and i don't know what to do with them..
what kind of rocket?
are the expensive?
they*
oh boy
if they enter orbit for 20$ Elon Musk would be broke
Yeah, maybe i'll tie an esp8266 to a balloon or something
powered by a housefire 18650 of corse
course *
yeah, i was kidding
was thinking more of a esp powered battery grenade
airborne
its 16:44
would you trust AliExpress lipo batteries for hobby projects?
