not necessarily, i believe personally that the mainstream can alter or effect the simulation in certain ways to trick us into believing them, and the simulation can be run into an infinite amout of branches and every single one is running constantly however we always constantly see the one which continues running no matter what happens, and whenever one simulation stops we just carry on in another one entirely unaware

I also believe that most things are run as a stable constant simulation s we would percieve reality but some small details are controlled, swapped out or changed to attempt control of us
