Yes, but if multiple distances around the oberver all show that the lights are on the same plane it kind of suggests that either the earth is flat or that coincidence is occuring

The Flat Earth Society is wrong. Bodies of all masses fall at the same rate without inertial resistance because of density and buyancy, not because of the earth accelerating upwards.
