It is the most opportune time to conduct an attack on a fixed position and the most detrimental for a fixed position to be attacked. This is not fun, but during this time you pull security on your position and literally watch for movement along the horizon and any other thing out of place in the sector you are guarding until you can fully see. Not a popular thing to have to do but necessary for keeping fixed positions secure. Sorry for the book you just read.
