Sup

That art project offends me!

Okay one sec tho

Soviets and prepared don't go together ever

Ur right, free explosives for every homosexual

First we smoke the weed, then we rape the bourgeoisie

The Soviets prepared for a potential offensive without question, but it was 20 years after the largest war the planet had ever seen, so so did everybody

That the Soviets prepared an offensive? Yeah

Fuck yeah lol ask France if they were preparing for war when they occupied the ruhr

"hey France are u preparing a potential offensive by literally occupying foreign territory rn?"

The point is everybody was prepared and saw ww2 coming, it seems the only country that didn't was germany

Which is so fucking ironic

But who starts a world war with no oil?

Germany may not have relied too heavily on unobtainable oil but there's no doubt that definitely didn't have enough, there's a quote from a POW who was sent to new jersey, and he said "it was the nonchalance with which they let their engines idle without any fear for wasted gas, that's when I knew we had lost the war".

Because oil dictates every military decision

You can't mass produce the panther, takes too much oil, you can't just through Russia without stopping, you don't have the oil, you can't send bombers to England without oil, etc

They could but not in an emergency, and also you'll probably kill yourself, but, I think it was the Soviets or Germans who used to stick a fire under their gas tanks to get the oil to move

Google German kaltstart techniques I might send a link if I can find what I'm talking about. Other than that diesel engines actually work great in the cold, diesel will work even as a gel, the problem is the carburator. It needs to be hot for the engine to sustain, but once u got it warmed up you're golden

A Russian soldier wrote "Let us simply consider the ideal situation where the weather is warm enough that the engine requires no pre-heating with fuel heater, blow torch or diesel-soaked, burning rags. "

Other confirmation is coming from Farmers but few primary sources concerning this exact thing

That's not something I get often I'm actually usually a huge dick, but thank you very much haha

So wait

What you're saying is

They aren't racist because they have white friends

Or they're racist bc they make racist jokes

HA, you believe in ARMENIANS in 2019?????

Have u ever SEEN an Armenian?????

Didn't think so dude

Haha sorry! Got confused in the writing!

Second , as strange as it can be diesel engine works better at low temperatures.
The problem with petrol was that you need it to evaporate in the carburetor. At -35 that doesn't happen. So you need to heat up the engine seriously.

Germans used petrol, which was problematic. Dieles engines use glow plugs, which meant you could relatively warm up the engine that way, not to mention the t34 had air compression starters which would get the fuel moving, and they sometimes had preheaters, the Germans had neither, and used a fuel that was bad for the winter, but the cold wasn't a problem because of the fuel, well, it was, but it was a big problem because batteries suck in the cold, and if I remember right, half of the battery's job on the panzer carients in Stalingrad (pz3s n shit) was radio communication, and this was a huge issue, because Stalingrad was basically a giant heap of building materials, so you had tanks that couldn't communicate, if they could even start via kaltstart techniques previously mentioned, in a pile of city which was more or less untraversable.

But there were techniques to get them started, namely, wrapping the carburator in rags and lighting em, a safer, but still really stupid way was to use a blowtorch.
