Hey y'all, gun newbie here. We just bought a 12 gauge shotgun, but the ammo we bought doesn't fit. Any ideas?

It's a Hopkins & Allen Arms Company, Norwich Conn 12 gauge (kind of old probably)

It's 12 GA 3 in

Measured it, the shell is a 32nd of an inch larger than the bore.

Yeah we can check, though I'm not sure it'll work. It was from cabela's

Is there a range for low pressure?

The one we have is 1,550 fps

Yeah the inch size isn't on here I think. It says diadem smokeless steel and choke bored on the top

Yeah I have a feeling they wouldn't have sold us ammo that didn't fit. It caught my husband's eye at Cabela's though, so that's where we got it.

Cool, good to know. I know it's old because the maker's engraving is starting to 'fade'
