@Awmanthisgirl (IPod) Fair enough, they all run together for me, images, jokes. If it's a serious post about a death, it's not funny, but if its posted in a humorous manner (HUMOROUS, not "edgy") then I laugh about it... except animals.
> I think it was Family Guy that had a future episode where an elected president was named D-bag, so he basically changed the meaning of that word and it lost all offensive power. I wonder if that would ever happen to words today.
@DarkbeatK quite the opposite. Now innocent words are offensive...
@DarkbeatK crap, did I miss a joke again?
It's Hans Olo..... ๐คฃ
I got more into the Star Wars EU (though I love and can quote Episodes 1-6 and Rogue One). That's why I hate Disney Star Wars (except Rogue One and the Mandalorian).
Have you thought of buying an 18 wheeler? ๐คฃ
I will say, for how much I dont like the aesthetic of most of them, hatchbacks are pretty good space-wise without being massive.
My rental car while mine is in the shop is a Toyota Highlander. I don't like it, too big for my tastes, and I feel like I'm driving a bus.
The Last Jedi was an abomination.
It undid any character development that TFA gave us and brought in characters just to kill them off.
I thought The Rise of Skywalker was halfway decent (and Palpatine's lightning storm was awesome) but I agree.
Palpatine was resurrected by the dark side ability known as "nostalgia-bait".
The whole thing was a bunch of Malarkey.
Because it needed to be a girl that kills the emperor.
Agreed.
> Shooting a Glock is not fun????? .... ok ... I think I need that explained a bit. Pull trigger goes bang, more fun that a Christian should have, doesn't matter what made the bang. Talk to me man.
@RB I just dot get the same gut feeling shooting my Glock. It's not that I think 1911's are superior, they both have pros and cons, but its easier and more enjoyable for me to shoot the 1911. It's like cars. I'll drive a Civic through a canyon and have fun on the curves, but in my BRZ there's a more visceral excitement in doing so (faster I might add).
I've already planned out my mods to my BRZ: supercharger, new exhaust, sway bars, etc. I just need some extra money.
Fair point, but so is Leia
And Padme is the first main character Disney queen.
Have you seen International's XT pick-up truck?
Han solo is therefore a Disney Prince
He married princess leia
I get nervous enough with Utah drivers, I don't need it compunded by driving a land-yacht.
That is no longer a rabbit, it is, in fact, a hare.
What
By the way, since she was next in line and her dad was killed on Alderaan, Leia is (according to how the movies were released) the very first Disney Queen main character.
@TheCraziestOregonian where did you find this test.... tbe answer is D, none of the above.
There were still people left, expats.
Like I said, expatriates who claimed leia as their leader is actually canon.

@CyberSpacePirate I disagree, though I prefer 1911's and believe the same regarding the 1911, Glocks require much less maintenance and excepting any gross negligence or abuse, will run no matter what. 1911's have tighter tolerances that require regular maintenance. They still hold up and are great, but they don't discount the Glock.
I do like SIGs despite not owning one. Some of the newer ones are comparable, but th 226 is much more expensive at every store I've been to by about $400.
All I'm saying is that Glocks are good guns for the price. And they'll always be better than a Hi-point.
Especially for someone's first gun
I always say: you are entitled to your opinion, just don't tell me what mine should be.
Glocks are very boxy, though
Nice, mine's a Springfield Armory Range Officer Elite
They are beautiful. I love mine
And they're the State Firearm of Utah.
@CyberSpacePirate 1911's. John Browning was a Mormon
Anybody tried ankle carrying a full-size 1911? Alien Gear makes a holster for that. ๐คฃ
https://aliengearholsters.com/1911-5-inch-ankle-holster.html
You need bellbottoms or thos wierd 90's JNCO jeans to do it.
I just ordered a drop-leg from them, I'll let you know what its like when it gets here.
Alien
@Stargatemaster96 I carry my primary and a backup gun, but I don't use ankle carry. I have a custom OWB holster that a buddy of mine made for my BUG and appendix for my primary.
> I'm curious, why do you feel the need to wear soft body armor. Is it an occasional thing or something you feel the need for everyday.
@Stargatemaster96 maybe he lives in Chicago?
True
Roadside assistance
I like the no questions asked lifetime warranty
They are good for the price. I have a PST gen 1 6-24x50 FFP scope and it is beautiful, now I just need a rifle to mount it on.
I also have the SPARC AR red dot and the magnifier, very nice.
If it weren't why would it be able to do it?
@Master oogwei if I wanted raw horsepower, I'd have gotten a Challenger Hellcat. I like the balance that the BRZ offers. I'm simply making it a little faster because I want better times. I mostly do canyon runs, so handling matters more than 0-60 times.
The canyon runs are also the reason I'm supercharging it and not turbocharging it. I want more linear power. It'd be a shame if a sudden boost caused me to lose traction as I accelerate through a turn.
Anyone know where I can fid.45 ACP ammo? Everyone's out of stock.
No, it's not about the speed, its about the feeling I get. A 1911 also handles better for me, so there's that. Breaking away from the car analogy, I like the feeling that I get shooting my 1911, and I have to think more when shooting the Glock, especially with its grip angle being more drastic than most handguns. But it's not about performance issues it's that it just feels better and easier (more natural) to me.
Am I explaining this well enough? It seems like I can't win here. I like Glocks for being dependable, but I prefer my 1911 because it feels better. If I suck at shooting something that's on me, but there are guns that are more enjoyable to shoot than others. I can still shoot my Glock just as well as my 1911, but I dont enjoy it, and for some reason I cant explain it.
It's like my Kar98k, I just enjoy shooting it much more than any other gun I've shot (except for maybe the M249, it's a toss-up).
I feel like I'm digging myself into a hole, so I'll clarify my standpoint. I love the 1911 and I respect Glocks. Great gun, but I don't think I'll buy another. I don't hate on anyone who loves Glocks, they're just not my thing.
Agreed.
My sister has a P365. I shot it a few times and it's great.
Were you Raiders, or regular Corps?
Huh, I never knew regs could choose. I guess if you're getting shot at, no one cares.
Ah. I'm looking at possibly going active USMC from USAR, what are your thoughts?
If I did, I'd look at Force Recon or Raiders
It took me a second to realize that it still had all its legs.
Out of curiosity, what drew you to the CZ? I've never shot one, so I have no experience.
Funny, I usually hear fluent French.
The question with Biden is: which end did they put it on?
Everytime I see one, I see the slide is smaller than that of a traditional pistol. What effect does that have, if any?
I've always wanted a USP or HK45, but I never have the budget.
That, or another gun caught my eye before I could buy one.
The one thing I could never get over with HK pistols is the mag release, trigger guard lever instead of a button. I don't want to have to retrain my brain.
I think I'll buy the SIG P226 I've been meaning to buy for the last 2.5 years first.
True... too true. I have to get a 6.5 CM bolt-action first.
I would have gotten it with my last tax return, but the Kar98k was too good to pass up.
I'd probably get a 9mm 226 so that I don't have to stock yet another caliber.
@Winnie37a not that I'm considering selling, but what are you offering? ๐
That is a mean, over-the-top shotgun.... I want it.
Biden did say to buy a double barreled shotgun after all.
Very tempting offer, but I would need something with a more... cyclic rate of fire.
Fair point. My K98k is the dream gun I didn't know I needed. I got it at a local gun store that had it used on consignment. It was $1200 (thank you Trump) and I was okay with that so long as it was in operable condition.
It even came with a sling, German cleaning kit and Yugo bayonet... and an authentic Soviet case of cosmoline.
No, it's russian capture, so different parts, but strangely, it still has most of the Waffenamt markings.
Cheers.
@Aperfectghost does it have the scope mounts and original scope?
Hmm. Does the rifle have matching serials, or is it a Russian capture? And does it have the import stamp?
I assume that means the waffenamt marks are intact, I'd say you got a great deal. If it still has the "non-essential" parts (front sight hood, cleaning rod, etc.) and is in working order, I'd say you're looking at easily $1000-$1500, depending on the specific manufacturer and year.
Of course nostalgia and the personal history behind it can't be valued. Like Visa always says: priceless.
If the serial numbers matched, that $2500+ and even more if there's no import stamp on it.
Petition the mods maybe?
> You named your dog after the capital of Azerbaijan?
@Tsar Vladimir Putin no I didn't name her, it was the name the shelter gave. I think there's 3 possible origins: 1) the capital of Azerbaijan, 2) a Japanese mythological creature that protects against evil and, when called upon, will eat children's nightmares or 3) there are several characters/creatures from anime with that name.
Personally I like number 2. I couldn't think of a better name.
I gotta say, I'm jealous of the Trijicon.
