Well, it would also depend on what kind of mask they're wearing, if there was any audio recording, their body build, and their look overall. If they're wearing a ski mask, then I'd say that's a hard no. Seeing as how the ski mask would only conceal the main features, but still allow enough conformity to the face to be able to make a good distinction between male or female. Now if a burglar went full V for Vendetta style and used a mask, wig, and hat then I'd say it would be possible. Though the burglar would also want to use stuffing on the butt, hips, and thighs to get a softer and more feminine look.
