If the US and China ever blunder into a war, I can say it will be short lived.
They would have to choose between western/southern areas due to India or focus on the coast for naval conflicts and port seizing. Another thing is their lack of allies and most of their trade goes via the Indian Ocean so simply sinking or seizing the vessels will strangle them into submission
