I think many agents are probably decent

but honestly it's just the banality of evil.

Like, you can be a decent person, but if you go along with certain things, you're still going to be complicit as a driving element of a system that slowly strips peoples' freedoms away until you're manufacturing most of the crime you arrest people for, and are actually as a whole, acting as a force of evil to suppress the very thing you think you're protecting.

A really old one I know of is the ATF poisoning moonshine during prohibition.

I'm surprised it took at most 5 minutes. That's some pretty impressive mental gymnastics.

They always can, and always will dismiss anything that's not from their "official" sources.

People were talking about the Hunter Biden laptop stuff earlier:

lol
There's no such thing as a source, I know. Not unless it's your sources making your arguments.

Again with this nonsense.

If he's aiming for a civil standard of proof why would he waste his time struggling with a criminal standard of proof when courts are showing clear bias in rejecting - without even hearing - so many cases that are down to a civil level?

2020-12-11 02:57:41 UTC [RobertGrulerEsq #election2020]

Yeah, as of the moment it would be a waste of time. You try to stop the ill effects of their crime before you go through the very lengthy and resource and time-consuming process of going after them.

It's like someone pushes a cart down a hill and it's gonna go hit people - you go after the cart to try to stop it, first, _then_ you can go after the person who pushed it.

And in this case going after the one who pushed it takes a lot more time and resources.

That's honestly kind of a good question, too.

But I do know that it's only recently that some people are being convicted for cases going back to 2016 and 2018. And then I'm wondering if there aren't actually arrests being made that we just don't hear about.

2020-12-11 03:09:39 UTC [RobertGrulerEsq #election2020]

I mean, given what they did to the Hunter Biden laptop story, I somewhat doubt we'd even hear about if they WERE making arrests.

2020-12-11 03:16:42 UTC [RobertGrulerEsq #election2020]

Ah, see, these cases are what I was talking about. Those cases take _years_. It would be suicide to pursue criminal cases right now when inauguration happens on Jan. 20th.
