technology is inherently neutral, it can be used for good/evil, Statism/Anarchism, pollution/conservation, and etc. It's the people that matter not the tech, if you have people that prefer big brother keeping tabs on everyone then you will get that whether it is through FISA warrants collecting your entire digital footprint or informants using the ol' Mk I eyeball. Do not rely on technology to save you, convince others that big government is bad.
