Hello
What's this place called? "I dunno", what'd you say, "Idaho?" That's how it happened.
you mean part-time prison
they have classes for that?
Don't overestimate your own time, though. Don't want to be an old man Dad.
feminism isn't common, but a lot of feminist values and ideas have bled over into the culture, because they captured a lot of influential cultural institutions when it mattered.
My theory is that it's mostly an issue of temperament. There are always x% of the population who are kind of awful authoritarian moralists, and they will take whatever are the dominant cultural memes and norms and twist them into a quasi-religious orthodoxy. This is why modern feminists seem like old church ladies--they're the same types of people, they've just grown up in different moral universes.
The black pill is that no matter who wins the culture war, the next generation of awful authoritarian moralists will arise again and the cycle will repeat.
jokes?
People call you a white fuck?
It's not safe for grown men to be around kids .. not safe for the men, anyhow.
She had a beard?
So I now work with an ex-cop. He used to work in a major US city, and he shot and killed a black guy while on duty a couple of years ago. I've been meaning to ask him more about it. Seems topical.
At least I think it was a black guy he killed. Need to double check that.
My understanding is that it was a justified shooting, because the guy moved toward him wielding an axe.
But this was second hand.
He was in the SWAT team, so this was during a SWAT call.
I am curious though. I don't know how forthcoming he'll be with details. I haven't known him for that long.
I kind of just want to ask him a whole bunch of difficult questions about all the BLM stuff, and perhaps I will.
social media puts the internal signaling dynamics of these movements on fast-forward. It seems like it used to take years for movements and institutions to go off the rails, but now months are all that's neeeded.
It started with Australopithecus ... or thereabouts.
About 2010, you had a generation who essentially grew up with progressive propaganda their whole lives, because "the left" controlled almost all the influential centers of cultural power, and "the right" was fighting a rearguard action. For people of that generation, progressive norms and values were the authorities and traditions they were raised to respect and cherish. For the conformist moral authoritarian types, these norms and values provided the raw material from which to craft their new quasi-religious orthodoxy. Those kinds of people thrived in the ordered and structured hierarchy of new education systems, and turned colleges into their chapels and temples. About 2010 is when they really began to gain influence in the world, because they flocked to various cultural institutions where they considered it as a moral duty to produce propaganda.
Sorry for that wall of text
Which one is the idiot generation?
I'm an early millenial too
I remember a time before the internet
I need a cellphone for work
I hate phones
but how do they know?
turtles all the way down
I don't like relying on GPS too much, because it's like relying on waypoints in videogames
kind of ruins the game
I have, but wasn't able to get into it. Don't know why, because it's just the type of game I normally like. I wish I had played it closer to release.
@velvitonator You're talking about Tim, right?
When they took away Yiannopolous's verified tag, it became an endorsement
It used to mean staying up all night arguing with them. Now it means staying up all night trying to get them banned and fired.
you were shamed and ostracised and called a Nazi?
The only stink you can't wash off a homeless man is his white privilege, that's what I always say!
He's just part of the conspiracy, obviously. Probably Bush's redneck cousin or something.
Should be meme about the recent Portland mobs shutting down streets actually being a result of faulty path-finding.
NPChe
Looks like Pablo Picasso's self-portrait
Pablo Picasso's Self-Portrait is hi-res NPC
Check out Julian Jaynes' 1976 book "The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind"
Weirdly appropriate to all this NPC stuff
or just check out the wikipedia page
Poems are usually better when lost
I don't judge
Ivanka will be the first female POTUS, obviously.
They could have won by simply saying that this was all "Much Apu about nothing", and then ignoring the mob.
Someone needs to get a #CancelSimpsons hashtag trending. I think that's something we can all now get behind.
We'll be lucky if that's all it ever is.
Maybe, or maybe this is what the pagans felt like when Christianity swept over Europe.
ยกAy, caramba!
Now they're nothing
