Lastly States Rights is the same issue Cali/ others face after leglazing Marijuana but the federal government still has it legal. The constituion was very explcit in what authority the states had, and what authrotiy the feds had, and simply without a constitutional ammendment it was unconstitutional for the federal government to ban slavery in any state without that states consent, which it did by only deciding what new states laws would be concerning slavery.

If the North had bothered to read the constituion, and not step all over the founding father's higher document, the war wouldn't have happened in the first place.
