they're just a mouse who wants a cookie

The news isn't interested in the truth

your coworkers and neighbors might be though. Don't come at them with everything all at once. Just the occasional little, did you hear about that local police incident with the infant?

full kit doesn't really help optics

jeans and a nice collared shirt

People kinda shit on airsoft a bit but it can be useful as supplemental training. Actually pretty incredible sight I saw at a private event in a cordoned off ghost town, around 50 or so combat vets all shouting the B word that rhymes with igloo.

Met a few rangers there even

another good one

the lord and savior himself, travis haley

@dreadnokboi I think that's the t rex arms one

certainly no replacement but it can be a fantastic supplement. What does 4,000 rounds of 5.56 cost compared to airsoft? 4k high quality pellets will run you about 20 bucks

simunition is fairly old. It's pretty dangerous so it died off relatively quickly

destroys your gun, requires modification, poses a serious hazard to health

yeah it's still used but people are getting away from it

in the end, airsoft is essentially dry fire practice with people shooting back. You start to get pretty good at weapon manipulation

I should get a target set up in my house so I can do drills actually

certain airsoft guns, typically gas blowback ones even have trigger breaks and resets. They're absolute shit breaks and resets as far as real guns go but they're still there.

One in particular I have was specifically designed for firearms training

Oh I wasn't arguing anything, I was just pointing out a neat thing

I train regularly with firearms, though like everyone I could do some more dry firing drills

started at 3

I had a single shot 22 at 3 years old, moved to an ar-15 around 6 or so, ar-10 at 10, and pistol at 16

grapeshot blunderbuss

Everyone is being recorded, it's just a matter of who is actually being watched, because there's not that many people watching, and a shitload of people being recorded.

Understood

I just want to live in a forest cabin with my fiance and cat. Maybe grow some cooking herbs, scare small children who wander in. You know, the life.

If you see someone doing that, react ๐Ÿ‘€ on their post

not really little stuff, but if they're being a pedo, or actively calling for violence

Active leadership in the server is key to maintaining activity

might be nice to have your name the same color as everyone else, but keep the admin tag so people can ping for help

Started mixed martial arts when I was 7, almost 25 now. Definitely important, and it helps build a calm and aware mindset

Might as well mention I'm from Oklahoma

Right, you mentioned trying to bail out of texas I think?

Tulsa's a pretty cool place, rapidly growing and great for small businesses

I grew up around there

That being said, you should have pictures of your firearm with the serial number clearly visible and readable in case you ever have to use it for self defense and the police try to disappear it from their evidence locker

because they fucking will

If it has a serial number >.>

etch dickbutt in the side of it and take a picture of that. Tell the pigs that's your personal serial number

Been designing a rifle to build for my fiance lately. She's tiny and a bit timid when it comes to firearms, so I've been working on finding the right balance of weight, size, and gas system length. Likely gonna put a noveske pig on it to direct the blast away since that's the main thing that bothers her when shooting

So far what I'm looking at is:
receiver set I already have from aero, no forward assist
g$ trigger I already have - about 4.5lbs
sba3 brace of course
Faxon 11.5 mid length with adjustable gas block
13" carbon fiber mlok handguard I already have
Noveske kx3 (which at a little over 3" just peeks out from the handguard)
jp captured standard buffer to smooth out the recoil more
bcm grip I have, might look into slimmer grips if it's comfortable for her smol hands
might put a handstop on there or something, mostly for safety

I have an 11.5 ar already which feels like it'd be just her size, but it's a bit heavier duty due to the g$ rail, huey, flip magnifier, and flashlight. Given that my 16" build with a similar barrel and same handguard weighs about 5 pounds before optics, should be super handy for her

might go with a trijicon 1x42 reflex sight because it doesn't have a power switch or anything for her to worry about, just point and shoot

<#704438705947017327> probably

man I feel so lucky

I knew my fiance in elementary school, protected her from bullies and such. Didn't see her for 10 years while I homeschooled, and re met her in college. Been together for about 6 years now and it turns out she's also a bit of an anarchist

I think this system will work well enough. Polite and professional here, and if anyone wants to do their own thing, they've got signal and whatnot

I believe the pvs14 is weapon mountable and good to go

who needs arguing when you can weld a makeshift machinegun to the back of a UTV

I was taught stick and mig welding a long time ago. Probably couldn't do it right now but I could pick it up again pretty quickly

sounds like a very heavy rifle. I could see doing something like that to a mounted weapon I guess, but I don't have much experience when it comes to that

Oh man, my fiance's family will make something they call apple pie moonshine. Not actually moonshine, but it's strong and tastes great

everclear cut with a little bit of vodka and steeped with various spices and apple slices

then heated up

Everclear is a fantastic alcohol when you use it for its intended purpose. You're supposed to make large batches with it, and because it's so high in alcohol content, there's no room for additives and junk in there

I'd probably say if you're looking for something to have for occasional use or emergencies, the baofeng will be fine. If you're looking to really get into radios, stuff like yaesu, motorola, and kenwood is good, and expensive.

though people who are really into radio and ham stuff look at baofengs like we look at poverty pony

might say pick up a few books and a cheap baofeng, then move up to a nicer radio. The baofeng is a couple bucks

then if you need, you can pass off the cheap one to a teammate or something

EDD sounds like the person to ask then

I've got a cheap uv82 and a nagoya antenna. I'm not into radios, I just have it for emergencies and tactical larping

I prefer to keep a clear head, but I don't care what drugs people do as long as they're not putting others in danger

I sorta thought of mig as a metal hot glue gun

Heard one from a guy talking about ranger school, having stayed awake for some stupid amount of time. People's heads turned into shifting rubix cubes to him

I think the longest I've been awake was around 72-80 hours, I kinda lost track on the third day.

I didn't get anything that solid, just shifting and swirling colors everywhere

it was weird, I was at a robotics competition and for some reason the air conditioner made a clicking sound that my alarm clock at the time made when it went off, so I couldn't fall asleep. I got home after that, passed out, and slept for 18 hours

I've read that the boomer hams are like fudds on steroids

I only learned the basics, though my welds were good, neat and strong. Ironic considering my handwriting is completely illegible.

*when quarantine has been so long that your sleep paralysis demon be lookin kinda cute*

The emilitia podcast had an episode about ham radio, and they talked a bit about the fudd hams

would carry, ngl

It was pretty cool learning about the history of it though. Basically a bunch of nerds slapping shit together in their sheds and seeing what worked. Supposedly ham was a slur used by professional radio and telegraph operators

ironic considering they're all about rules now

I don't really like the look or feel of glocks but I respect them. Eventually I'd like to get one

Now I'm not a car guy but apparently cars at some thing called SEMA are known to have A+ welds

when your weld has more gaps than british teeth

we have the technology

*oh shit the pigs, hide the beer*

Reminds me, when I was learning to weld as part of a class in tech school, one of the instructors turned around with his mask on and a spun up angle grinder, and almost carved my friend straight up the chest with it. Missed by two inches

we were in a small booth

I was the only one who saw it, they both had welding masks on at that moment

Huh, you should probably get your own state's tag in case an emergency happens there

multiple problems with doing that. Risking getting broken metal in your fire control group, and losing semi capability

pfffffffft

Probably manufactured

different form, less money but the atf can come check out his shop whenever I think
