For most people in the North, it seems as though they've been almost raised to vote for Labour, everyone on my mothers side of the family has grown up, I think it might honestly be due to Tony Blair's ties with County Durham - the constituent we're from. Though it also seems as though more Tory's are starting to emerge ever since the whole EU Ref.
That is a part of it yes, though I've been told this is mitigated somewhat through the victory in the Falklands by some and others just don't care.
Gotta love the North, I swear some of the people from up here look fresh out of Jeremy Kyle, it's mint
From what I can tell my constituency turned blue for the first time in it's history, and I do see the shift starting to come through with people just generally supporting more conservative ideas but purely down to the stranglehold the labour party have on the education system its going to be a slow process for those to be more generally accepted. I wouldn't be surprised if in the next election we turn red again, but the margin I expect will be small, though so long as Boris does what he set out to do we might at least remain blue for a little while longer.
That and the way he insults people is quite possibly the funniest thing ever
