I just watched the " Why MGTOW will go mainstream " video. I've been MGTOW and mostly monk mode for the past three decades. I always thought that I was alone and more than a year ago I would have called you an idiot for saying that. I honestly can't beleive that MGTOW is going mainstream but it really looks like it's happening.

@ZODD from 2 hours ago... MGTOW already has a target on it's head. I've been targeted as a MGTOW decades before the title of MGTOW even existed. That's the great thing about being MGTOW. You start off as a target so everyone can go fuck themselves. When you start with the nuclear option socially they have nowhere to go.

It got so bad with Windows changing host IDs with Win 10 that our main brand released a Linux client.

I think behind the secenes most people realize that Window's days are number and working on beimg more platform agnostic.

I think most game manufacturers are working on going Vulkan / Linux behind the scenes but it takes probably 3 or 4 years to switch gears like that

Luckily I think that they have been working on it for at least a year or two

so I think in two years or so you'll see a lot more games run on Linux on release day or soon after

I used to play Eve online a lot. Lately I was doing more Ark Survival Evolved but took the summer off of gaming

When the weather is nice and the kids are out of school I prefer to do outside stuff

But I'm in Chicago and the kids are going back so I'll be looking for something soon

WoW supposedly plays fine on Linux

I started gaming on PCs with Total Annihilation

so I'm old school

I get motion sick from FPS games

so my choices are limited with that.

I built gaming machines for both of my nephews. One is 13 and the other 10. They both game and both have Ubuntu

they played Cuphead when it came out via wine

and Proton seems promising

That is one place that I think Microsoft fucked up

When Win 10 came out a lot of old games that played on 7 would not play on 10

but they played fine on Linux

when the internet and computer games were newer it was easy to sell people on the latest and greatest. Now people have seen the downside of that which is loosing access to old favorites.

I think people now are more concerned about being able to still use the stuff that they buy two or more years down the road.

ya but people are going back to tabletop and board games now. and old games like N64 shit.
