the tipping point was being rejected for a promotion that would have had me work more independently, and my manager telling me this concept called "PIE" performance, impression, expectation. She said i had great performance, what with automating a couple processes and fixing some problems that was costing the company money, but i never talked to anyone more than needed, so i left little impression and didnt have much expected from me. maybe i am just autistic.
