Something that's been really bothering me about this whole backlash to the violent video games thing...

Can someone please tell me how saying that violent video games cause violent people is any more stupid than activists demanding the reduction in the sexualization of female characters in video games because it promotes the objectification of women?

Both are asserting that certain types of content cause certain types of behaviors. Why are we comfortable with one type of censorship but not the other?
