We actually entered a parallel universe 24 hours ago where everything that could possibly go wrong went wrong
Vox have always been immune to low-pressure damage, other than popping lungs
But honestly the suits should stay
Not to mention the visor and suit patterns are entirely different
Even updating your branch is a pain if you have slow internet because those commits would be massive
I know precisely nothing about the database
I'm booting up KSP for the first time in like a year
What ridiculous contraption should I build?
Dear fucking god this patcher is slow
I can download a whole brand new fresh copy in like five seconds
But the patcher has been going for fifteen minutes
Fuck this I'm just deleting everything but the saves/subassembly folders and throwing a new copy in there
Does the cane actually do anything at all or is it just given to medbay for shits and giggles?
I think there'sone in the detective's office...maybe
But Erik said he rescinded the notice anyway
It's weird, because he's actually been nice, polite, and helpful every time I've spoken to him
The secret repo isn't actually anywhere near the whole repo
But yeah we still have PLENTY of copies
Picking up projectiles while they're timestopped is intended, though it was a mistake to do it so naively
It USED to be possible to always pick up projectiles, if they somehow got stuck or you were really fast/lucky
I fixed that but was asked to leave it in if they were timestopped
...You could fix specifically the fireballs in two lines, but honestly the fireball thing is so hard to exploit I'm not sure it's worth it
I'm honestly amazed anyone knew about it before the bug that prompted the fix
I'd be impressed if anyone actually did it though
Plus they slip out of your hand immediately
Your hand still holds a reference to the projectile
So you can throw it or stash it or something
But physically, it's somewhere else
I really, really want to see a wizard catch an immovable rod
Because they'd be SO PROUD and HAPPY for a couple seconds until timestop ended
Then I'm pretty sure it would gib them as it flew out of their hand
I don't think it would, unless they were moving in an unfortunate direction
@kammerjunk That firelock thing has always been true but whatever
(The significance of that number is that it's the highest value that can be stored in a float with integer precision, and I guess whoever wrote this proc incorrectly thought that our pressures were capped to that)
More troubled by the server being crashed by a fucking for loop
It crashes UPON REACHING THE START OF the for loop that sets up air
It doesn't even make it through one iteration, if I'm not mistaken
OK yeah the server maintenance happened after ZAS broke
Say that to me in the Ivory Tower, nerd
This has nothing to do with ZAS but
>[17:08:54] Skipped 117776 runtimes in lighting_source.dm,258.
That happened EVERY ten minutes yesterday
OK every ten minutes for like an hour or something
After all, it's THIS fucking line that runtimes:
It's just directly calling the proc that that loop is SUPPOSED to call
SDQL doesn't (usually) hang the server
But because it sleeps periodically
It doesn't do all the calls at once
And that's why I said "(usually)", celt
Best SDQL query:
Step 1: Hold a crowbar
Step 2: CALL attackby(usr.get_active_hand()) ON /turf/simulated/floor
CALL forceMove(usr.loc) ON /obj/item/stack/tile
@Celt That depends on what it entails, but probably not
I'd probably just be perpetually deadminned unless actively debugging something anyway
Make me apply like anyone else has to
They're supposed to, even if it's just a formality
Same sort of thing with self-merging after review is completed
Doing it isn't directly bad, but invites shitposting
Fuck, I've already forgotten what was said in which Discord
@Celt On the matter of dir bitflags, have a Fun Fact I learned while looking at ZAS code to try to figure out what the fuck was wrong with the server:
Apparently, despite not being documented anywhere I can tell, there are two more of them
Corresponding to +/- z direction
`step(ref, 16)` moves you up a Z-level, 32 down
Also, another closely-related Fun Fact:
ZAS at least claims to support 3D atmos
By writing #define ZLEVELS somewhere
That's in the zone forming code
Does MoMMI still work in these parts?
Probably tried to ping Rhaplanca
Hey who wants to see the ultimate memengine on the test server?
You need to specify brainmob's path
That would be because the brain item doesn't have those vars
Rather than copying all that info to a new brainmob
Why not just move the brainmob in the brain into the other thing?
No cocaine. Just T3 parts and one (1) Hivelord
The sound it emits is awful, though
Hivelord broods have zero step delay
Who said anything about changing it?
One hivelord isn't sufficient to power the station's basic needs
About how much power does the station consume?
I'm not even sure it's worth putting up with this sound
Two hivelords and a hand crank could do it
Why does everyne assume I'm doing something about it?
Pros: Compact, free energy, once you get the hivelords
Cons: If you go anywhere near it, you want to die
The hivelord broods have zero step delay
So they play that clicking sound
It's just a low hiss if you stand still
Whenever you move while within earshot of it
That sounds like a great way to make sure people never use jackboots
I can't really get in voice, but what's going on?
