In the 70s congress passed the federal agency act (I think thatโs what it was called) allowing federal agencies to enforce agency policy as if it was law
Super non democratic
Basically any administrative body in an agency (none of whom are democratically elected) can make up rules on a whim and enforce those rules as law with government backing
Exactly
Or how they can try and bring a guy to court for selling 80% lowers and charging people for classes on finishing them. Since he technically didnโt sell them a full firearm by the ATFs definition the ATF was gonna lose the court case
A judge (this was Cali) Warned them that theyโd lose thus setting legal precedent
So they dropped the case
Which is SUPER corrupt and should not be a legal thing.
Getting advanced notice of a verdict and dropping a case
Preventing that legal precedent letโs the ATF avoid future cases where someone could do the same and be legally protected because a court precedent would overshadow their policies
Since In a common law system (thatโs our legal system) court decisions are interpreted as actual law or rather how we are supposed to interpret law
Give me 2 minutes to freshen up on the NFA history before I say some thing wrong
This is coming full circle donโt worry
Ok so as I understand it
The NFA was passed as a way of classifying and better taxing firearms
It wasnโt gun control
The NFA itself only prohibits 2 things. Silencers and automatic weapons. Which automatic weapons was in response to the Valentineโs Day massacre
Iโm not sure personally
But Iโm sure a quick google search will tell me
Thatโs besides the point
And arguments can be made for that but letโs not lose focus
The NFA was created to curtail the access to automatic weapons by criminals since that was, at the time, the only people who used them. And to make money off firearm manufacturing and sales
Personally none of that screams tyranny to me
UNTIL
You realize the true evil lies in the federal agency act
Hold tight Iโll send a link
Hopefully that works
Iโm regarded
Retarded
I sent before reading
Sorry!
Hold on
Oh thatโs why
It was in 46 not the 70s
See boys this is why we fact check
The human brain is not perfect
Different name too ooops but it does what I described
And itโs sold as a good thing for Americans
And some of that act does make sense but itโs when you look at fine print that you realize itโs not
I know I looked retarded for a moment but phew I found the right thing
However I canโt find a pdf of the act
Well itโs not well known. Takes a heightened level of aspergers and paranoia to find this stuff
I might be misreading it but it almost looks like someone or a group of people could legally disrupt the rule making process
One of the tenets is that the public are supposed to be involved in the decision making process
But Iโve never seen a โjoin us at the ATF to discuss how to handle x y zโ
Bro
FUCK ROOSEVELT
He vetoed a bill that would require agencies to run all decisions by the federal courts
1940 Walter-Logan Bill
Even NYTimes calls it out
This article was published dec 10 1940 and thatโs a little preview excerpt
It outright states what is happening today
Agencies acting as judge jury and executioner. And that the Walter Logan bill wouldโve stopped it
Hail Hydra
Are you subscribed to NYtimes?
Cuz I canโt open that
Britannica is one of the last reliable sources of information
Got worse in the 90s
Ok I actually found a pdf finally
@Killerratchet no such thing as a coincidence
Ok guys buckle up
The federal agencies are breaking the law
The very law that allows them to fuck us
Sorry itโs shitty old people font
This is the section you need
Any and all federal agencies
FBI CIA EPA ATF FDA DMV DHS DEA
All of the biggest dicks
Ready to fuck you with billions of dollars in funding and legal protection
Right I agree some federal agencies make sense. But they should be subject to public and judiciary scrutiny and the whims of democracy
Like FDA? Probably a beneficial agency
Oh of course
Dependency nurtures compliance and right now the vast majority of Americans, including republicans are dependent on the government and its agencies
As far as the FDA goes Iโd like to make sure my crops are being sprayed with cyanide
Arenโt *
Lol
<:Okie_Dokie:661060257363001344>
Ya well Roosevelt disagrees
Oh shit
I think this also applies to the NSA
Anyone been watching their newsfeed for updated rules and regulations?
If they know about it they might know why no one has tried to dismantle it
Nope
It specifically states they must be given the opportunity to debate, write letters and submit facts
The issue is a handful of gun nuts arenโt gonna stop these rulings
Idk how many people it would take
To influence a rule making process
Articles of confederation ๐
Susan Collins is not receptive to her voters
Took one of the biggest payouts on record to pass the FCC bill that restricted internet and shit
I want a Gattling gun for each window in my house. Itโs my god given right
