I'll split my argument into two parts, one on the logic of Fascism and one on the logic of Communism

Fascism traces its ideological roots to a period of time in the 1880s when a theme called fin de siecle was affecting the culture of that time. The theme itself promoted emotionalism, irrationalism and subjectivism while opposing materialism, positivism and rationalism "Materialism" is a philosophical monism which regards physical matter as the fundamental substance in nature and it is opposed to spiritualism which views abstract concepts instead as being the forefront. "Positivism" is a philosophical doctrine that believes only what can be scientifically and logically proven is true and "Rationalism" regards reason as the chief source and test of knowledge. So basically the theme that was the ideological roots of Fascism opposed science, reason and logic. From this cultural theme arouse neo-Darwinian biology (pseudoscience), racialism (pseudoscience), Gustave's psychology (mostly pseudoscience) alongside the ideals of Hegel's absolutist ideology (garbage). The entire framework of Fascism is resolved around replacing the idea of "God" with a metaphysical, non-existent abstract concept of the "State". It is logically inconclusive and inconsistent.

Communism is based completely on dialectical and historical materialism. Like a science it is based on observing trends throughout history (Marx made the observation that there are 4 modes of production throughout history which are primitive society, slave society, feudal society and capitalist society and that through class consciousness and the gradual decline and inconsistencies of Capitalist mode of production, there will eventually be a Communist state. This is however open to interpretation, making it a practical and realistic ideology as some people view it in a Marxist-Leninist way (State socialism gradually giving way to full Communism) or an Anarchist way (Executing it by immediately forming councils and siezing the means of production). There are many different ways that it can be executed.
