bruh im doing an assignment for HonHum rn about ignorance tell me if you think my answer is good
To what extent do you believe that ignorance is like a prison or a cave? How can a lack of knowledge keep people “in the dark" or prove to be harmful?
I believe ignorance really is like a prison or a cave. When you ignore reality and don't look at the facts and truth of something bad things can happen. Take for example the police shooting of Jacob Blake. He was getting into a car that wasn't his with kids that he didn't have custody over, he was tasered twice and continued resisting arrest. He was seen by police reaching for a knife when they opened fire. Now because Jacob Blake was black, BLM and Antifa assumed that this was a racist shooting and rioted causing millions of dollars in property damage because they didn't know the facts (and didn't bother to learn them) of what happened and they decided to be ignorant about reality and destroy people's livelihoods and businesses.
honors humanities
not really sure
doesnt seem super lefty
but not necessarily conservative etiher
lmao
i havent had any super lefty teachers that constantly talk about politics yet
actually i had one but it was when i didnt know anything about politics
> well it's an honors course, so critical thinking *should* be rewarded, but I think the majority of the answer is the example rather than the premise that ignorance is like a prison. I think the best approach would be to point out not that ignorance has consequences, but rather that ignorance can *limit your personal freedoms* in some way, since the comparison is to a prison.
@Arkayde thats really helpful thank you
> Since the prompt included both, it would probably be best to speak briefly on each one.
@Arkayde i think ima do that
