What's going on?

I was a part of the whole debacle, I can explain the events before. Has some new development occurred?

I was also a part of the structuring of the new server, until I left for certain reasons.

There were a lot of antecedent events which contributed to the final series of catalysts which broke the community. I could try to detail some of them, and provide a more robust analysis of what occurred, but I don't think it's really worth it.

To be brief: Josh and Schnitz were spamming shitposts in #general. Disco warned them multiple times to stop. They didn't. Disco kicked them. Snow asked what happened shortly thereafter. He was told what happened. Snow then promptly removed Disco's power and demoted him to Active User. Disco, reasonably upset, left the server. I resigned and left shortly thereafter. From there on out, I have no direct knowledge of the events of the /leftypol/ server, though apparently it turned into hours of hating on Disco. Hoodlum Ninja shared during that time some DMs between him and Disco wherein Disco was asking if Hoodlum had, or knew where to get, nudes of VOID. The server then used this to claim that Disco was a "pedophile" and started circlejerking and slandering him as that, even though VOID is 16 and Disco is 18.

Meanwhile, a new server was started, originally as a /leftypol/ split. I, among other users from the growing diaspora, was promoted to Commissar to help begin building the server. Disco left after seven or so hours, requested that I ban him from the server, and said that he decided to quit Discord politics for a while, particularly after the Hoodlum DMs were revealed. I was then the *de facto* co-owner and began constructing the server channels, permissions, etc. palestinian tire boy was (and may still be) server owner at that time. When he came online, we began working on the server. We needed to decide on the server government, so I suggested a delegative council democracy. They liked it and tasked me to draft a proposal. I did and the staff completely approved.

When it was proposed to the server, nobody cared or read it. After multiple attempts to get *anyone* to read my proposal and discuss it, with users telling me they didn't care and wouldn't read it, an argument broke out when one user began criticizing it and saying that rotation should occur. This led to a debacle and clusterfuck of confusion, eventually resulting in my choosing to leave the server because I thought I was the problem, since the server owner was considering leaving after I "sperged out" and threatened to resign because I refused to have a permanent server owner as a "benevolent dictator".

I have no idea how the new server is doing or what they did with all my work and ideas.

This was the proposal, by the way:

Hopefully, that summary suffices, @Comrade Toveri and @Firefly.

@Firefly, the server began to disintegrate because the administration went rogue, rule of law was ignored, statutory law was borderline nonexistent and common law was unclear, shitposting and cancer was metastasizing, and the server owner (Snow) demonstrated that the whole democracy of the server was a sham by acting without consent of the governed in removing the co-owner (Disco). I had warned about all of these problems leading up to the crisis, but I was ignored. When the chain of events were triggered, the result was inevitable. Now, the server is in the process of dying (if it's not already dead).

I predicted all of this, by the way.

smdh nobody listens.

@Comrade Toveri, lower council membership would be determined by regular elections for new council members, exactly how it was done with Janitors on /leftypol/.

Where?

Probably not.

I posted many on another server once, but not here.

So not only is no moderator cleaning up this mess, and didn't even prevent it, but I can't even report the posts.

Great job, everyone. This server is dead.

If you seriously want this server to be functional and preserve what's left of it, appoint or elect users who are active enough to moderate it. I'll even accept the position if it means helping this community, even though I'm not particularly interested in being in a position of power *again* and *in another community*.

Otherwise, I'll probably just leave the server because I'm not interested in being in a dead server that hosts gore and raid aftermaths.

That's literally not what socialism is.

Anyway, I'd rather just abandon this server and move to mine than try to revive and restore this one. It seems nobody cares about the integrity of this server.

You don't understand the basics of leftism. Fuck off back to /pol/.

No, it's a backup server for instances like this. It has no users currently.
