can afford over $20: t2 / t3

2019-06-06 06:43:17 UTC

I'm using the MH750 with tips that cost more than the IEM itself and they actually slam

2019-06-06 06:47:17 UTC

The under 100 Chi fi game is so boring

2019-06-06 06:47:51 UTC

T2/T3 usually beats out most stuff and its been well over a year

2019-06-06 13:23:06 UTC

2019-06-07 21:29:16 UTC

DM6 are really really good

2019-06-07 21:29:45 UTC

I love mine. Planning on spending a couple hundred on a second set of IEMs sometime soon tho

2019-06-07 21:30:16 UTC

Something with a more V-shaped and bass heavy sound profile to complement the DM6's flat reference feel

2019-06-09 15:27:17 UTC

Okay guys, I had the Tin T2 IEMs with a MEE Audio BTX2 BT adapter, worked lovely until I left them at school and they got stolen.
Any recommendations? Preferably something budget friendly.
I think the T2s are very good for their price, what about MMCX BT adapters?
Or some other solutions I've missed?

2019-06-09 16:22:05 UTC

get trn bt3 when sale below $20

2019-06-09 18:51:02 UTC

2019-06-10 02:00:59 UTC

2019-06-13 02:35:44 UTC

Going to buy T3s and be done

2019-06-13 02:38:22 UTC

you should probably just stick with t2 + new cable

2019-06-13 02:38:26 UTC

t3 isn't an upgrade

2019-06-13 02:39:37 UTC

Yeah i know its a sidegrade but i saw i can get it for 50 on drop and yoloed it <:pepestressed:327933525124841482>

2019-06-13 11:15:41 UTC

I've gone through 2 pairs of t2s because of the washing machine

2019-06-13 11:16:04 UTC

Stick to lower cost buds because I'm too retarded to handle t2s

2019-06-13 20:52:12 UTC

Are there any of these with USB-C rather than micro?

2019-06-13 20:54:31 UTC

Don't think so bud

2019-06-13 20:55:20 UTC

These are sold to poorer countries so keeping micro USB over type C sells better I would imagine

2019-06-13 20:56:44 UTC

Aight, thanks.

Chinks can into upgrades after all

2019-06-14 09:13:23 UTC

Top is old one, wire torn and barely working from stress on the connector

2019-06-14 09:13:40 UTC

Bottom is new cable, with built in stress reliever

2019-06-14 19:42:56 UTC

Anyone got any sidegrade recs from DM6 to a more V shaped profile?

2019-06-14 19:47:46 UTC

try eq?

2019-06-14 23:30:50 UTC

To anyone who bought a new cable for their T2s after the cable disintegrated, did you buy a straight down cable or one of those hook ones

2019-06-14 23:34:01 UTC

Hook one like this

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/365921969004216320/589236132387225610/image0.jpg

2019-06-15 14:59:10 UTC

I have a hook one, but it's just heatshrink molded to the form of a hook

2019-06-15 14:59:35 UTC

Though I had one very similar before my current one that did not have a hook

2019-06-15 15:00:20 UTC

(which I thought I was rebuying but it ended up being an upgraded version with stress relievers (posted a bit above))

2019-06-16 00:10:54 UTC

@Supa Dupt My cable hasn't broken yet, but I bought a second straight cable without hooks. After I got used to the weight of the T2 I just wore them normally.

2019-06-17 15:24:22 UTC

hello boys

2019-06-17 15:24:48 UTC

QCY T2C/QS2 are on sale along with the QCY M1

2019-06-17 15:25:16 UTC

which ones sound better or have better battery life?

2019-06-17 15:47:10 UTC

somebody already posted that deal

2019-06-17 15:47:59 UTC

and also you should probably ask the Certified Autist(tm) for this, Bart "scarbir" Breij

2019-06-17 15:49:45 UTC

uh looks like he hasn't said anything about the m1

2019-06-17 15:49:52 UTC

might be their newest product

2019-06-17 15:52:59 UTC

I got the Q29 which seems just like last years T2C (not really following this)

2019-06-17 15:53:44 UTC

they're alright, battery life is okay especially with the case. I'm sure I've gone into more detail before, tbh havent used them in at least a couple months.

2019-06-17 15:53:49 UTC

wired IEM is just comfier

2019-06-17 17:12:33 UTC

@dee why is wired more comfy?

2019-06-17 17:13:19 UTC

and do you mean wired as in 3.5mm jack

2019-06-17 17:13:39 UTC

2019-06-17 17:39:03 UTC

made a mmcx cable from a fake pair of vivo xe800's

2019-06-17 17:39:23 UTC

very apple-esque, big ups to taobao for cheap-ass mmcx connectors

2019-06-17 17:39:45 UTC

literally anywhere from a half to a tenth the price compared to what you can get in the states

2019-06-17 17:40:32 UTC

too bad i had no white heatshrink

2019-06-17 19:52:11 UTC

looks gr8 m8

2019-06-17 20:03:10 UTC

my t2โ€™s keep falling out of my ears

2019-06-17 20:03:48 UTC

my t2s got quiet in one ear

2019-06-17 20:04:12 UTC

too lazy to replace cable so i just stopped using it

2019-06-17 20:05:29 UTC

@Joldberg try bigger tips?

2019-06-17 20:11:39 UTC

i've gotten more comfortable with buying things off taobao so i think i'll try something more ambitious with my next mh755 journey

2019-06-17 20:11:58 UTC

i have some clear 9.2mm shells in my cart that i plan on transplanting some mh755 drivers into

2019-06-17 20:16:12 UTC

i also still have my fake vivo xe800 shells which seem to fit fine, but can't really make them detachable cable in any way because they're too small for any type of connector

2019-06-17 20:20:26 UTC

Anyone got any experience with the FiiO K3?

2019-06-17 20:20:32 UTC

Thinking of picking one up

2019-06-17 22:08:23 UTC

@Windatica I plan on trying to transplant MH755 driver into SE215 shell

2019-06-17 22:08:55 UTC

It's gonna look really ass though since the driver is a full 2mm in diameter bigger than the SE215 one

2019-06-17 22:25:55 UTC

i also have these but i have no idea whatsoever on how to use them

2019-06-17 22:26:11 UTC

i have a cable that looks like it uses these connectors too, which isnt helpful

2019-06-17 23:14:55 UTC

I'm after a 0.75mm 2-pin BT cable, but decent quality, the one I got off aliexpress the battery dies too quickly and the range is bad.
price isn't an issue but want decent battery life and range etc

2019-06-18 04:38:35 UTC

@Windatica How did you attach the mmcx conntectors? Did you strip the ends of the wires to the iems to solder to the mmcx, then pushed the whole lot inside the housing? Did it affect the acoustics of the iems?

2019-06-18 05:06:23 UTC

@billsikes trn bt

2019-06-18 12:40:00 UTC
2019-06-18 12:42:02 UTC

if you're asking about the mh755, then all you do is remove the old cable entirely and drill a hole big enough to stick mmcx connectors into, i don't think it changes the sound at all because the driver and where it is contained is seperate from the parts that are modified

2019-06-18 12:42:37 UTC

i think it would be possible to remove the back of the mh755 entirely and probably have little to no effect on the sound'

2019-06-20 22:05:52 UTC

is there a guide I can check or do I have to ask here?

2019-06-20 22:06:08 UTC

hello dears split between sr850 and hd681 rn
first of all how shit are the pads on both especially sr850s velour ones second i live in a pretty hot part of world so which ones gonna fry my ears less and last compared to hyperx cloud core how good/bad is the sound
kisses

2019-06-23 00:15:40 UTC

Velour on Superlux hardens somewhat quick

2019-06-23 00:16:14 UTC

I use mine on and off; been six months and they're starting to stiff

2019-06-23 00:16:37 UTC

Older cans I have needed pads after becoming unusable a year later

2019-06-23 00:17:08 UTC

668B especially with the head cushions that are made of the same stuff; they now hurt my head

2019-06-23 00:17:40 UTC

yeah i replaced my superlux earpads pretty quick

2019-06-23 00:19:02 UTC

the head cushions i just cut off when they got hard

2019-06-23 00:23:50 UTC

interestingly enough the velour pads on my takstar hi2050s from like 6 years ago is still soft..ish

2019-06-23 00:24:19 UTC

its not as plush anymore unfortunately but it be like that

2019-06-23 00:34:38 UTC

Just cut the cushions off??

2019-06-23 00:34:44 UTC

"Just fuck my shit up, thanks"

2019-06-23 00:41:48 UTC

???
its way more comfy with the hard cushions gone

2019-06-23 00:42:57 UTC

The bare wires hurt less? <:rolf:589102490696548371>

2019-06-23 00:46:36 UTC

What's the microphone?

2019-06-23 00:47:08 UTC

modmic

2019-06-23 00:48:48 UTC

ive had these for 6 years

2019-06-23 00:48:52 UTC

still going strong

2019-06-23 00:55:29 UTC

Yeah, I've had mine for a while too. Looking for velours that don't suck, not having any luck.

2019-06-23 01:34:42 UTC

If I get one of those modmics, do you think I should put it on the 668B or the 681HD?

2019-06-23 01:36:30 UTC

i think you should get something other than a modmic

2019-06-23 01:41:28 UTC

I don't know what to look for as of now, what's something good you can suggest?

2019-06-23 01:54:37 UTC

a microphone on a scissor arm

2019-06-23 01:54:46 UTC

bm-800, nw-3u, etc

2019-06-23 01:58:48 UTC

I mean, sure, but while a full-size mic will always be better I'm not streaming, or doing anything that requires particular sound quality. I'd just like to add a mic to a set of cans if I want to talk to friends or whatever. Also something a little more mobile, that could go on vacation or other parts of my home.

2019-06-23 02:15:57 UTC

you could try a cable with an in-line microphone but that might be not what you want ยฏ\_(ใƒ„)_/ยฏ

2019-06-23 02:17:08 UTC

you would also need either a splitter or a dongle that can correctly detect the trrs connection

2019-06-23 02:20:36 UTC

@Iren Masot use a vmoda mic if your heaphones have a input jack on them

2019-06-23 02:21:49 UTC

No input jack on Superlux stuff

2019-06-23 02:22:36 UTC

Need to bodge something instead

2019-06-23 02:22:42 UTC

:^)

2019-06-23 03:50:45 UTC

modmic is fine, just dont get the 4, my friend got the 4 and it was worse than the one he had before

2019-06-23 03:51:32 UTC

an essential, well not essential but its cheap and improves things a lot, is to get one of those cheap little usb soundcards and plug the mic into that

2019-06-23 03:51:51 UTC

it get rid of any hiss from the mobo and it improves sound quality a bit

2019-06-23 03:53:21 UTC

2019-06-23 03:53:30 UTC

like one of these kind

2019-06-23 03:54:03 UTC

i got one for like $5 and it had a decent jump in quality and removed the hiss

My mom wants some wireless headphones for listening to music (yeah I know, wired is way higher quality, I told her that, she still wants wireless)

2019-06-25 09:32:11 UTC

she'd mostly be using these when excersizing and dancing, what should I get her?, budget of ยฃ20 ($25) or less

2019-06-25 09:33:33 UTC

she would prefer over-ear headphones (yeah I know, even worse for wireless..)

2019-06-25 22:33:34 UTC

which hybrids? the silicone only one or silicone+foam composite things

2019-06-25 22:33:36 UTC
2019-06-25 22:34:38 UTC

hybrid refers to the silicone ones with a stiff, rubber tip that's colored ;) for your pleasure, the silicone+foam are hybrid isolation tips

2019-06-25 22:35:35 UTC

ah thanks for making the distinction

2019-06-25 22:35:46 UTC

I got some hybrid isolations with my wf-1000x and have been using them on mh750 and they're comfy as hell

2019-06-25 22:36:45 UTC

are they good

2019-06-25 22:36:54 UTC

the wf-1000x>

2019-06-25 22:38:02 UTC

they're great sound wise, very like mh750/755 in terms of sound signature, but the communication issues are a major put off

2019-06-25 22:38:18 UTC

I'm getting them serviced with Sony since I'm fairly sure they're faulty

2019-06-26 01:02:02 UTC

glad to see DROP shipping is still garbage

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxHevl_TKQ4 Update, apparently the beautiful IEMs I posted a couple days ago are actually rather good. V-shaped sound profile which is what I was hoping for so I'm gonna pick up a pair. Now for the tough task of deciding between the many gorgeous styles available

2019-06-27 07:47:57 UTC

They look like a bad drug trip
