Even without the wars, that's not stopping corrupt contractors and officials from getting and dumping money into the war machine.

That's what corruption does.

War can create famine and so can corruption but they're not the problem in most places that suffer poverty. They simply can't eat because they don't have an education or a job and because of that they dont get money for food. This is usually because the governments of these places are also poor.

We could have no wars, and they would still be awarded billions of dollars unnecessarily.
