The AI always seems so inefficient at building. The spam certain buildings they don't need, or build way, way more military buildings than they need. Wasting a lot of resources and driving up the market price of wood

Skirmishers. They spam those like crazy. As a player, their only value is as cheap, quickly produced distraction units.

If you need to build ships to just hold an enemy navy at bay while you try to come up with a better plan, fire ships are the best ones to spam

Yeah, in a random map game, I always see huge navies that just... sit there. You'd be so screwed if they sent them all at you, but they don't. They just send in a small group
