NEW DELHI (AP) โ Police in India's capital said they found 11 bodies at a home under mysterious circumstances on Sunday, including 10 that were blindfolded and hanging.
The victims were all from the same family and most had lived in the home where they were found in Burari village in the northern part of New Delhi, said police officer Vineet Kumar.
During a search of the house, handwritten notes were found that point "toward observance of some definite spiritual or mystical practices by the whole family," police said in a statement.
"Coincidentally, these notes have strong similarity with the manner in which the mouths, eyes etc of the deceased were tied and taped," the statement said. It didn't elaborate.
Kumar said police began their investigation after they received a call Sunday morning that some "members of a family have committed suicide."
But he said that no suicide note was found, and that police were investigating whether the victims โ a 77-year-old woman, her two sons and their wives, a daughter and five grandchildren โ died by suicide or were killed.
There were no bullet marks on the victims' bodies and there was no sign of forced entry into the house, Kumar said. "We're yet to reach any conclusion whatsoever," he said.
Police said in their statement later Sunday that a murder case had been registered, though a police official said both murder and suicide were being investigated.
The statement said that the house had not been ransacked, and that no valuables were found to be missing.
Ten bodies, blindfolded by cotton and pieces of cloth, were found hanging from an iron grill used as a ventilator in the home's courtyard, while the body of the 77-year-old woman was lying on the floor of the house, said the police official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to talk to reporters.

A North Carolina mom is outraged after she discovered her seven-year-old daughter's character was being sexually assaulted in the game.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A North Carolina mother recalls says she was horrified to discover her seven-year-old daughterโs character on the gaming app โRobloxโ was being forcibly raped by other characters.
That mother, still shaken, wants to make other parents aware of the dark side of the popular game that touts 64 million active members, many of them children
Roblox allows you to create your own character, and build or enter in to user-created worlds.
โI never in my wildest dreams wouldโve ever imagined that I would have to talk with my seven-year-old about rape,โ Amber Petersen said.
She still canโt shake what she saw on her daughterโs phone Thursday.
โOne of them picked up her avatar and threw it to the ground,โ she recalled.
What happened next, and the screenshots Petersen took, are too graphic to show or describe. But it involved several characters forcing themselves โ and their cartoon male anatomy โ on the seven-year-oldโs avatar.
โOnce I was able to make the avatar move away one of the boys was able to grab her and throw her back down on the ground and keep doing it,โ Petersen said, her pained voice cracking
She did a little exploring in the game herself after that โ taking additional screenshots as she discovered even more rooms and worlds dedicated to violent sex.
โOne guy comes up to my daughters avatar and hold a knife to her throat and slit her throat, there was blood everywhere,โ Petersen said.
That as another childโs character was sexually assaulted as the user typed, โIโm scared.โ
โIt really kind of turned my world upside down as a parent,โ Petersen said.
She shared the experience and the photos on Facebook Friday, hoping to warn other parents that the app may not be as kid-friendly as it seems.
NBC Charlotte reached out to Roblox about the incident, and a spokesperson sent us the following statement:

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. (AP) - President Donald Trump says he's delaying signing a revised version of the North American Free Trade Agreement until after the midterms in hopes of reaching a better deal.
Trump says in a Fox News interview that aired Sunday that he could quickly sign an agreement with Mexico and Canada, "but I'm not happy with it. I want to make it more fair."
He added that he would wait until after the fall elections.
The president's decision comes as the U.S. and Canada have been engaged in a tit-for-tat trade dispute over Trump's tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum.
Canada announced billions of dollars in retaliatory tariffs against the U.S. on Friday.
In the interview, Trump again threatened to impose tariffs on imported vehicles, saying, "The cars are the big ones."

Concerning the Roblox game parent. It's good that she's spreading the message of what's going on in the game but there's two big questions that pop up for me. One; why the hell does a seven year old have a cell phone? The kid is barely going into the second grade and she's got a cell phone why???? I didn't get a cell phone until I was 13 years old. So that's mistake number one. Secondly; why weren't you paying attention to what your daughter was on and playing?? I know that there are still parental controls to activate and use, so why didn't this parent do that? Talk about being lazy and not being active in your child's life. I unfortunately see more and more parents like this. They just throw a phone in the child's face and don't pay attention to them. This has to stop. It's already started where you've got a generation of kids that don't know how to communicate with others. Parents like this one unfortunately need to also be made an example of and show that she could have done more for her daughter to protect her from games like this.
