You will have to manually delete all of the discord app then install a clean version in order for it to work

It is not a simply uninstall because there are files with discord hiding on your hard drive

Did you go to your email account and click the link in the email from Discord to confirm your account? If not then plase do this when it is convenient to do so. This is referred to as "registering" your account and until that is accomplished then you will be stuck at home plate

The Main Menu was streamlined so that is did not appear so overwhelming to newcomers

@Medium Ed Don't despair everyone has to face the same learning curve when new to Discord and it does not matter how computer savvy they are. I wandered around the Discord Desert for 2 weeks before I was able to get my machine set up

Stick with it and soon you will be able to surf around like an old Discord Pro

Thank you for the encouragement. I do not see the server settings menu bar to change my nickname from his to mine but also if we have two accounts under the same name, I am not sure how to fix that.

My husband must have opened the Medium Ed account. I didn't. I had been chatting with my @Thora account, which is the 5563. so I have no idea how the Medium Ed acct got there unless he somehow opened his under my acct.

The avatar with my account is a photo of me in a green shirt.

But I chatted with people more than once with that account.

Weird, I just was able to get into the VA meetup with my avatar and name on my phone. So I don't know why on my computer it is Medium Ed. I could just use my phone for Discord, I suppose. OMG, so confusing.
