@Mike445 Just below the Welcome to the Soapbox you will see the "opt-in-channels" click that link and you will see more of the main menu

The Main Menu was streamlined so that is did not appear so overwhelming to newcomers

"opt-in-channels" in not an option on my screen under welcome-to-the-soapbox. My next option is <#431169106893340673>

Okay then read the rules of the road and click the thumbs up emoji. That is the last step before gaining access to the server

We should. I had been able to chat as Thora before. Maybe my husband got in here on my computer and messed it up.

@Thora9680 It appears that you have tw acconys in your name with the user ID numbers of 9680 and 5563

He says he didn't though, so I don't know how to fix this.

I did. I am on my computer right now but I did install the app. My husband says that he joined Discord on his phone.

I don't know. He is at work in the operating room now so he can't talk anyway. I have been texting him. And we are both Discord challenged.

@Medium Ed Don't despair everyone has to face the same learning curve when new to Discord and it does not matter how computer savvy they are. I wandered around the Discord Desert for 2 weeks before I was able to get my machine set up

Stick with it and soon you will be able to surf around like an old Discord Pro

If your husband wants to set up his phone so that he can join the conversation please let me know

Thank you for the encouragement. I do not see the server settings menu bar to change my nickname from his to mine but also if we have two accounts under the same name, I am not sure how to fix that.

@Medium Ed Do you have an avatar with one of the accounts = your accounts?

If so then just use that account from now on

My photo is my avatar. How do I get to that account?

Also I sent your husband some direct messages with instructions for joining he VA server and how to set up the push to talk on his phone
