DNA is inserted into an organism

2019-05-03 09:25:47 UTC

Not sprayed onto it

2019-05-03 09:27:05 UTC

So it's impossible to alter DNA?

2019-05-03 09:27:29 UTC

Not once have I stated that

2019-05-03 09:28:30 UTC

You said there are no DNA manipulating substances.

2019-05-03 09:28:37 UTC

Are proteins substances?

2019-05-03 09:29:05 UTC

Are alpha sources substances?

2019-05-03 09:29:11 UTC

DNA is inserted into cells, which then replicate

2019-05-03 09:29:29 UTC

Are proteins substances?

2019-05-03 09:29:33 UTC

Giving a plant proteins does not alter DNA

2019-05-03 09:29:54 UTC

Uhhh

2019-05-03 09:30:39 UTC

By substances do you mean just spraying a plant with a liquid

2019-05-03 09:30:53 UTC

Did I say that?

2019-05-03 09:31:03 UTC

You did not specify

2019-05-03 09:31:23 UTC

So why do you make that assumption?

2019-05-03 09:31:56 UTC

Not sure

2019-05-03 09:32:00 UTC

The globe earther that doesn't believe in science ๐Ÿ˜‚

2019-05-03 09:32:33 UTC

DNA is inserted into cells, which then repicate

2019-05-03 09:33:00 UTC

Eating a plant containing those cells does not alter human DNA

2019-05-03 09:33:03 UTC

Cas 9 is an RNA manipulating protein.

2019-05-03 09:33:28 UTC

Cas 9 is not eaten

2019-05-03 09:33:48 UTC

No, but nanobots are

2019-05-03 09:33:52 UTC

All the time

2019-05-03 09:34:51 UTC

DNA altering proteins are injected directly into human cells to alter DNA

2019-05-03 09:34:57 UTC

Not eaten

2019-05-03 09:35:00 UTC

Jesus

2019-05-03 09:35:05 UTC
2019-05-03 09:35:35 UTC

Lmao

2019-05-03 09:36:33 UTC
2019-05-03 09:37:04 UTC

Why do you think people have so many health issues this decade?

2019-05-03 09:37:25 UTC

Improper diet, maybe?

2019-05-03 09:37:58 UTC

Eating 100 cheeseburgers a month does not guarantee great health

2019-05-03 09:38:17 UTC

Overworked+bad diet=multiple health issues

2019-05-03 09:38:28 UTC

^

2019-05-03 09:38:32 UTC

and that's like the two best describers of working adults in this decade

2019-05-03 09:38:53 UTC

Exactly

Trusting big corps like Mc Donald's in the first place ๐Ÿ˜‚

2019-05-03 09:39:40 UTC

I don't eat at McDonald's because i know the standards they have for the meat they use

2019-05-03 09:39:42 UTC

Never eat that shit, it contains all sorts of government funded experimental research

2019-05-03 09:40:34 UTC

what? Next are we going to say don't drink tap water because of governent tampering?

2019-05-03 09:40:44 UTC

Don't wash your hands

2019-05-03 09:40:53 UTC

my job requires me to

2019-05-03 09:40:59 UTC

so you know, I don't taint the water I treat

2019-05-03 09:41:17 UTC

But that water is government water dont wash your hands!

2019-05-03 09:41:27 UTC

b-but i treated it myself

2019-05-03 09:41:31 UTC

Bruh, how is the government *NOT* tampering with tap water.

2019-05-03 09:41:47 UTC

Because I can tell you the three main chemicals used in Water Treatment

2019-05-03 09:42:09 UTC

and all of them are 100% soluable and only clump up toxins and balance the PH level

2019-05-03 09:46:36 UTC

This is getting kinda off topic

2019-05-07 18:00:56 UTC

GMOs are harmless

2019-05-09 06:57:00 UTC

Let me ask ya'll first, what is a gmo

2019-05-09 06:58:34 UTC

Because no plant we modifyed caused a terminator style appocolypsse, but seriously, gmos intended to affect how well the plant survives, and possibly the quality of food in a beneficial way

2019-05-10 18:48:32 UTC

Do you think GMO's end at plants? Genetically modified animals down to natural traits and behaviors

2019-05-10 21:25:34 UTC

They engineer animals also

2019-05-12 08:22:00 UTC

I know gmos dont end at plants but they MOSTLY affect plants

2019-05-12 12:50:58 UTC

GMO plants need crap loads of water ,, they don't do well , the farmer assumes all liability ,, the round up has skull & cross bones all over the packages , but there safe , so where re the studies , past 3 months ,, is was it 3 weeks . // u ppl hav no clue just repeat the talking points of liberals that are empty vessels // SAD days , on the SAD die-t

2019-05-13 19:41:27 UTC

@spiritualVapor somaRaSa excellent points

2019-05-16 19:29:11 UTC

Figures

2019-05-17 23:21:40 UTC

I just heard a round up company in Europe got sewed a massive amount of money for their products causing cancer. Im gonna try to find a link for anyone interested

2019-05-17 23:52:01 UTC

Interested

2019-05-18 01:54:25 UTC

had trouble finding the European case but easily found some others

2019-05-18 01:54:57 UTC

I don't know how to make like the web link things so ill just post the urls

2019-05-18 01:55:29 UTC

One from Canada

2019-05-18 01:56:48 UTC

some in californa with that article too

2019-05-18 02:01:29 UTC

the IARC (the International Agency for Research on Cancer) is saying its most likely carcinogenic

2019-05-18 02:04:04 UTC

Apparently the big one Bayer is even in my state, ouch

2019-05-18 02:45:45 UTC

Even CNN is taking the side against round up

2019-05-18 02:51:21 UTC

more successful lawsuits. this time someone accidently sprayed themselves with it and got sick. Then a scientific experiment was performed and it showed that it may also cause another diesease, https://www.businessinsider.com/monsanto-roundup-liver-disease-cancer-2019-5 . man rip round up

2019-05-18 02:51:45 UTC

I don't think round up is going to be around in 5 years

2019-05-18 03:11:14 UTC

oh apparently Bayer is a worldwide company thats actually german. So I guess the lawsuits are against european companies but from other places in the world. Yeah I don't think Roundup is going to be around much longer unless Bayer can handle all of multi billion dollar lawsuits coming out at them. Although this one is a little more supportive of Roundup they still go against it too https://metro.co.uk/2019/05/15/round-weedkiller-linked-cancer-us-still-sale-uk-9554688/ I think this is enough source data about the topic so I'm going to stop posting

2019-05-18 10:21:49 UTC

the alternative media is more likely to have suspicion on subjects

2019-05-18 10:22:58 UTC

Russia has at least made a good regulation on GMOs, like Japan did

2019-05-18 10:23:27 UTC

maybe we can introduce environmental tariffs

2019-05-18 18:38:04 UTC

I mean gmos can be good but unfortunately most of them are modified to resist pesticides which encourages use pesticides which is bad. But like some of them are good. Diabetics who couldn't produce insulin used to have to take insulin from animals but when scientists used recombinant technology to place an insulin producing gene into ecoli they could produce insulin much more cheaply and efficiently. The problem is is that farming companies place the toxin resistant and pesiticide resistant genes into crops which encourages use of these which are both bad for the environment but more importantly are bad for human beings

2019-05-24 19:16:42 UTC

on this, I would still prefer selective breeding over transgenics. As transgenics is riskier than selective breeding

2019-05-24 23:35:41 UTC

I mean yes but we cant always get a trait we want through selective breeding whereas if we use transgenic we can choose any trait. But yes. Its not clear when that trait goes into the organism if when consumed its bad for thr consumer.

2019-05-25 20:23:30 UTC

then there's also genetic modification where crops create their own pesticides, not to mention that. As there has been research showing what long term effects will be on animals. Although animals are not the same as humans, the used animals in the studies are mammals. Look for anything familiar to the situation we live in right now, with multiple medical crises in cases of chronic illness.

2019-05-25 20:23:37 UTC

think about it, manmade toxic food

2019-05-25 22:02:46 UTC

Yep welcome to business operated genetic engineering

2019-05-26 10:45:37 UTC

it's preferable to use multiculture in agriculture, since that's more sustainable than monoculture

Wtf

2019-06-03 18:59:53 UTC

THC is the main psychoactive component in marijuana; itโ€™s what causes the user to feel high, and often increases appetite. If youโ€™re like me, you might be asking the obvious question: If THC has medicinal benefits, why do we need to make a synthetic version of it in order to to treat people? And the answer, in my opinion, is clear: Because you canโ€™t patent cannabis and capitalize on it.

2019-06-03 19:00:16 UTC

all about the money!!! always is !!!!!!!!!!

2019-06-09 03:52:34 UTC

I am pro gmos. Anyone want to debate?

2019-06-09 13:42:55 UTC

What do you think about eating gmo salmon meat that has been dyed red using red dye pellets

2019-06-11 23:59:56 UTC

Yeah im against that. They should get rid of this

2019-06-12 00:04:24 UTC

Also gmos arent always bad. Its just usually the farmers (and the fish companies) creating certain gmos that encourage bad policies. Like pesticide resistant crops allowing them to use more pesticide. Not all of these mutations are bad that farmers use, but some of them definetly are very bad
