I don't even bother anymore
They play it off like it's just a matter of opinion
This is the real story behind the pizzagate conspiracy. A hacker found child porn photos on a restricted page on Comet Ping Pongs website. The hacker informed police but no arrests were made. They stated they couldnโt do anything because the information was obtained illegally. Conveniently, a shooter at Comet Ping Pong managed to lodge a โSINGLE BULLETโ into the hard drive of that computer.
This video contains an in depth interview with that hacker.

Spoon feeding to ask for citations of random quotes and images
๐
I'm just surprised the debunk was a centermeter above the album cover
Like it's the simplest thing to make sure you can back up your claims
You're surprised people crop out important details?
I'm surprised I could debunk in a second
It shouldn't come as a shock to you that people literally edit things but don't realise you too can reverse image search
People are stupid
Well ofc yesterday Derek kicked me for asking for source
Half the population is below average
That's Derek for you
As if it not his responsibility to provide proof to support his own damn claims
He's the faith master 6000 and all questions are just heresy
I can go "go open a science book and don't ask me to spoon feed you"
Science book
The big book of all science
I mean even a 3rd grade book will do to prove a globe
Double standards only exist because they can't coherently provide a proper argument that doesn't fall into unfalsifiable claims or a war on credentials
But it'd be condenscending to say this when I'm the one responsible to prove my own damn claims
The simplest argument for arbitrary curvature measurement actually comes from Gauss
I wouldn't go as far as what Fluff is saying, there is a benefit of being skeptical of science
Science is skeptical of itself
But informed skeptism and FE belief are different
Yes
You need to learn something to disprove it
And most of the time I see misrepresentations
Isn't she a socialist Gwench?
At best?
The argument basically holding that if you line up a series of level fences or planks and measure the distance from one to the next it should be linear, but as you move outwards, the error starts to accumulate as a parabola or any arbitrary planar curve
It's a principle in differential geometry
@I-VaPE-ChEMtrAiLS Iโm not sure. Maybe.
You can figure out any random geometry using this method
Why does the website call her a communist then? @The Gwench
I love how people in the US are so anti communist but don't realise that their idea of communism is still right wing to the rest of the world
It's a joke
Cause socialism = communism
@I-VaPE-ChEMtrAiLS Ask the author.
Imagine
I mean I don't know physics, it's boring and full of numbers. But basic science literacy and understanding how to read a scientific paper means I can get a wee clue of if something is trustworthy @Goldsteel
Also socialism isn't communism
Ree
It can be difficult though
Same
Physics is boring :3
Have you played arxiv verses vixra
No
It's a game about trying to tell the difference between real papers and fake papers that look real
I couldn't do that, not if it was a topic I didn't understand
I can only pull about 60% since some people write garbage papers and some fake papers sound plausible but make no new claims
oh that seems fun
People make a fake paper claiming they developed a new UV laser, bogus
The socialist studies non stem gross topics would get me every time
Man writes horribly flawed paper in M theory
Legit
The difference really is the citations
If the paper makes an outlandish claim and cites other papers on vixra it's fake
The titles alone are impossible to tell though
I can make up any title
"A novel technique for examining the cross section of the Tau neutrino at SNO+"
What's that? American companies dodge taxes and don't fully investigate product safety?
Say it isn't so bat man
"Ex-NASA Employee and Quantum physicist think earth is flat"
I find it funny sometimes
Weird, both FE truthers and me a hardcore, left wing, environmentalist both hate Monsanto
Alright, @I-VaPE-ChEMtrAiLS has been warned because '**Duplicated text**'.
Daily mail
<:angery:486195953410244608>
Studies quantum physics in her spare time
๐
so do all flat earthers
Oh I'm sure I can figure if that's a lie
And yet none of them can ever answer my really basic questions
grim was here earlier
Joy
i lasted a solid 2 minutes before having to leave vc because its just too much
You can tell it's trustworthy because it's written by the imaginary bloke from Fight club that all teen boys want to be after missing the point of the film
I mean they write in their manifesto ๐ why they use pseudonyms, it's to protect themselves from the government in case they want to silence them but I don't think naming yourself after the literal physical manifestation of a lonely guys worst and most destructive behaviour helps your image
What's it with these people and watching Fight Club and Matrix and They live and just seeing a completely different movie to me.
@I-VaPE-ChEMtrAiLS What are you talking about? Im sorry...I havenโt been paying attention, Busy posting some of this weeks news.
Just roasting the guy for using Tyler Durden as his pseudonym
Oh that. Whatever. It was the content people were supposed to look at. ๐
unless its wolfie or soundly :^)
You can tell a lot from an author for what they chose to represent themselves as anonymously
i agree with gwench tho
name is eh
For example people with dog pics are great
@Satan Thank you.
Yeah I'm being a bit of a pedant but dang that website is full of really annoying ads
they gotta make money like every website does tho
@I-VaPE-ChEMtrAiLS I agree with you there. Regrettably, itโs the only way to get the news for free.
I think the line is crossed when I have to click away 3 full page ads
They also sell merch so they must be making some money
