night you actual commie
And remember, economic mobility is still very pertinent
^
Night
Night
night ๐
I wouldn't say economic mobility is as possible as in the 90s
Thats not to say that it isnt possible
^
Especially when we have two trillion dollar companies that exploit large numbers of workers
Tbh I'd say it's become more mobile because of the potency of cryptocurrency and spontaneous trade wars and tariffs
I never tried to argue for it, but at least its possible to keep people fed
You could just say that all types of investments can do that
I don't think meme bucks will do anything in the next 10 years
dogecoin raised over one billion
lol
hopefully dogecoin is dead tho
A billion dollars distributed between a small amount of investors. Sounds good to me tbh
^
only problem is that it's called ***dogecoin***
I dont like Capitalism, but it is better than the alternatives
For our country anyways
For other smaller nations, it may be that socialism would be more efficient
Scandinavia
The only thing bitcoin has done is made people wanting to buy illegal stuff off of the deep web insufferable millionaires
That is still circulation of money though
Yeah
It cant all stay underground
no matter how the money is used, where it's used, or when, it's still money
Its virtually impossible to ban cryptography
***remove the internet***
^
This however implies that the free market makes sure all captital gets distributed, but think of what's his face from Amazon. He's makes his employees average salary in 10 minutes that's fucked
^
I never implied that
Drip down doesnt work
Not all money is circulated
has drip down ever worked?
However America is still built on drip down
***Ronald Reagan***
North America is built on people with money
Doesnt matter where it moves
^
Its still fucked though
***Foxcon***
Yeah it's a bit fucked
Ideally, everyone should be able to have equal oppritunity
That's why I lean socialist
At most I lean Social Democratic
And even then, I have to ignore the instability
*Democratic Socialism is still Socialism*
Oof
As great as it would be to have an entirely ethical socio-economic environment, it probably wouldnt work
Actually, most economists consider it a form of Capitalism
I mean out current rates of consumption are unsustainable when you factor in environmental concerns
Social democracy is not the same as democratic socialist btw
We have to change anyway
Better of two evils
Anything with socialist in the name is the same
Anarco is the same is Syndicalism ?
I dont think so
Communism is Social democratic
No
Socialism is a very nebulous term
Yeah, I don't really know economics. I'm more into environmental studies
Thats important too tbh
Means I can be smug about being against the system, but I'm basically unemployable
What do you think of the Paris Treaty?
lol
Its nice to be idealist
***"beautiful clean coal"***
Paris treaty is a tricky one
Id love it if humanitarian work was employable though
It just doesnt pay enough
^
Tbh The American EPA is pretty much dead
sorry to say
Anyone else love clean coal?
There are some concerns with keeping counties accountable, and each country set its own standards. This means that it's incredibly easy for a country to do the bare minimum. However it's really very good that all the counties (at least at the time ๐ ๐ ๐ ) came together
America = China
You're right about that
Do you think that lack of accountability was a major or minor problem?
I mean you can argue either way, it's better than nothing
I agree
Personally, I dont know that it would have amounted to much with the regulations in place
I think myself that we've got maybe one or two more American presidencies before we know for sure if we are buggered. I spoke to one of the guys that wrote the treaty and he said trump was a shame but not a death sentence
But that might have been before he dropped out of the accords
Yikes
I hope that the organization can recover
I'm honored to have talked to someone who's talked to someone who signed the Paris Treaty
:))
Its important that countries take initiative for these types of things
^^
He worked for the EU so he's fine, and he didn't sign it he just kept people accountable and did all the number crunching
kk
What do you think of the Euro?
I don't know enough tbh
ah
