at most for 4G
Last night I used 2 of those 6GB ones. And I know I used a 2gb one earlier.
ew
sorry it's in french
that's the price if you don't use the same ISP
19.99โฌ
if you use the same company as an ISP it's 15.99โฌ
Idk how phone stuff works, for phones I just walk into Wal-Mart and buy a 45$ AT&T card. Though I haven't used a phone in about a year. lol
45$ O.o
pricey
I think the last phone I had was around August last year.
And yeah, Cause every month they need like 15$ for unlimited call and text, then the rest goes to your account so it saves up and carries over.
O.o
well the thing I showed you, 15.99โฌ is unlimited call / sms / mms and 50GB of 4G data
if you go over 50, the bandwidth is just reduced
no extra fees
That's 17$ so about the same as the 15$.
yeah
Yeah, my internet doesn't go out if I go over, it just goes from shit to shittier shit.
I've used for 2 weeks in the US when I was in cali
didn't pay anything for extra roaming
That's phone stuff, Idk what you're talking about there. lol.
yeah ? you don't talk about phone ?
you mean your ISP charge you that ?
I don't use phones.
I have a satellite in the back of my trailer that connects to a router.
oh
Then I use my laptop to connect to that router.
so limited bandwidth etc..
damn ^^"
reminds me of the 90s :/
That's why the screenshot up there was of a PC and not a phone screenshot lol
well at least you have decent download speed on satellite
the only thing that sucks is the ping
Idk what 4G or extra roaming is. I know that one of my old phones had a 4G icon on it, but that's about all.
lol, mobile data
basically, that the same thing as your internet
I can use my phone as a modem on my laptop too
I remember that I was able to walk into the woods and have internet where ever I got signal at, while everyone else on the phone had to be around a place with wifi
well yeah, that can work pretty good depending on the coverage of your mobile carrier
sorry for the misunderstanding
i'm not use to data limit on normal internet anymore
that's a mobile stuff exclusivity for me ^^"
With the opposite on my side lol
I don't think I saw a data limit on any ISP in france since the 90s
I didn't even know that was an old thing.
I didn't get wifi till about 5 or 6 years ago. , we used dial up before that.
well, I got a gigabit connexion... my download speed is approximatively 110MB/s
๐ฎ
I wouldn't be able to cope with data limit lol
50GB is like half an hour if I force a bit
I was downloading too much anime last night.
Jesus
faster than 99% of your country.
yeah ^^"
it's common in Paris though
but people in the country side don't have that much bandwidth lol
I'm slower than 80% :/
yeah decent download speed
it takes you like what... 20min to download a 700MB movie ?
it's okay enough
the deal breaker for me would be the ping
hope you don't intend to play any online game
If I use Free Download Manager it probably would, downloading straight from the browser almost never works.
you press a key, the server register half a second later lol
The last online game I played was MGO2.
Though, the other day I got into a session on GTAV online...
people must be mad at you lol
It was by accident, I meant to go into a solo session but went into a regular session instead. lol
they must see you teleporting everywhere haha
I was roaming around the map and heard explosions and was like "Wtf, there's other players here?"
Then in the bottom left it was giving off the log of who joined/left.
well at least it didn't used you too much data
Neh, Playing online doesn't use up data for me.
I was always confused about it.
Cause I remember in MGO2 I had thousands of hours, I'd be playing for 16 to 20 hours straight, and the data would only ever go down by a small amount.
yeah, online gaming don't use that much data
Kinda shocking, I woulda thought it'd use up more than browsing does.
Well, * Browsing videos I mean
nah it mostly just send and receive information about position & actions for the other player
it's really cheap in data
Oh okay, so like a vector number then the game it self works it out?
it's a bit more complicated than just a vector most of the time but yeah
it's more like a matrix of position x, y, z and camera angle
but yeah :)
Well, I guess that makes more sense.
Camera angle?
yup, the direction your player is looking / etc
especially for FPS
Oh yeah. >_< I forgot FPS games were a thing lol
well camera angle / player direction
depending on the game
Though, I guess third person shooters also have that one feature where they show you who killed you through their camera for a few seconds.
plus the different actions, crouching / shooting, etc
oh the killcam require the same informations that it just normally send
position, the looking direction and angle (if you look up or below, etc), and the action you're doing, crouching, walking, running, shooting, etc
that's like few kilo bytes every minutes
How much data does playing online use?
