2018-06-06 19:34:20 UTC

either its the insurance companies taking the money, or government officials raiding funds to give themselves raises.

2018-06-06 19:34:36 UTC

Thats my point. The Gov should provide health care. You have one buyer and no middle man skimming off the top.

2018-06-06 19:34:58 UTC

the government IS the middle man.

2018-06-06 19:35:57 UTC

get the government out of my healthcare. period.

2018-06-06 19:37:02 UTC

At the moment, yes. If the Gov employed the Dr and owned the hospitals and there was no need to worrie about insurance if you are at a high risk of cancer.

2018-06-06 19:37:47 UTC

okay, and who in the government decides how much a doctor is worth?

2018-06-06 19:38:10 UTC

You can choose to have private health care here. But if that fails you you have the NHS to fall back on. Or if it's somehting small and you don't want to increase you insuance you can was the NHS.

2018-06-06 19:38:27 UTC

private health care is always better

2018-06-06 19:38:29 UTC

first the implement polices that make hospitals nothing but money sinks without charging crazy prices, then they try and force me to pay insurance companies, the solution to their own problem, then you want to give these guys the direct power to waste my money so i can't help anyone else?

2018-06-06 19:38:49 UTC

competition makes things more competitive and yes, people make money, its a fact of life

2018-06-06 19:39:00 UTC

the US within "crap health care system" does most of the worlds r&d

2018-06-06 19:39:16 UTC

so all these socialist healthcare systems are riding on our coat tails

2018-06-06 19:39:42 UTC

sure its got its problems and I do content that I dont' think anyone should go into poverty if they get sick

2018-06-06 19:39:53 UTC

but it sure beats the competition, regardless of what people may think

2018-06-06 19:40:58 UTC

i have more power to shape the system when i have money. much more than i have power to tell dick-wads who know nothing of healthcare who have the power to decide what does and doesn't make sense.

2018-06-06 19:41:08 UTC

yup

2018-06-06 19:41:13 UTC

and I can always find another doctor

2018-06-06 19:41:22 UTC

instead of one "provided" to me if I don't like the care

2018-06-06 19:41:45 UTC

i have enough of a problem at my work. When leaders doesn't listen to the boots on the ground, it always ends up poorly for the boots on the ground. and politicians NEVER listen.

2018-06-06 19:41:58 UTC

and why would they? i have not CHOICE but to pay their salary.

2018-06-06 19:42:02 UTC

or they come in with guns

2018-06-06 19:42:11 UTC

oh and I dnt' have to pay taxes to cover medicine I wouldn't use because I'd go with private anyway

2018-06-06 19:42:34 UTC

look at how fast Battlefront 2 got fucked.

2018-06-06 19:42:51 UTC

we should have that power over our politicians

2018-06-06 19:42:54 UTC

and we don't

2018-06-06 19:42:59 UTC

You can have private health care if you want. but for people that have the choice to have the care they might need if everyone put in some cash so that no one has to go with out.

2018-06-06 19:43:20 UTC

and who pays for these people?

2018-06-06 19:43:30 UTC

Everyone.

2018-06-06 19:43:48 UTC

so I have to pay for everyone else and my own care on top of that?

2018-06-06 19:43:59 UTC

that's called socialism

2018-06-06 19:44:04 UTC

get your socialism out of my shit

2018-06-06 19:44:14 UTC

really? so those people too poor to afford private are partly that poor because the government took that money from them?

2018-06-06 19:44:20 UTC

also

2018-06-06 19:44:24 UTC

if everyone pays for everyone then you are only pay for yourself

2018-06-06 19:44:50 UTC

OR, people with more money are paying for the people with less money.

2018-06-06 19:44:54 UTC

people are better at making healthcare choices about themselves then some goverment system plus any cogs in the system (i.e. doctors that jsut dont care because they hate the system just as much)

2018-06-06 19:45:14 UTC

everyone is selfish

2018-06-06 19:45:23 UTC

capitalism thrives on that

2018-06-06 19:45:24 UTC

No. The system works coz most ppl don't use it. Some ppl over their life will pay in far more than they use.

2018-06-06 19:45:26 UTC

and everyone wins

2018-06-06 19:46:38 UTC

WWIII when

2018-06-06 19:46:41 UTC

Look at your countries life expectancy and tell me you have the best health care.

2018-06-06 19:46:48 UTC

soon'tm

2018-06-06 19:47:16 UTC

tbh I'd attibute that less to healthcare and more to the fatfucks here

2018-06-06 19:47:24 UTC

if you're referring to US

2018-06-06 19:47:35 UTC

basically

2018-06-06 19:47:42 UTC

lifestyle choices

2018-06-06 19:47:44 UTC

that being said our healthcare system is indeed flawed

2018-06-06 19:47:55 UTC

flawed, but better than the alternatives so far

2018-06-06 19:47:58 UTC

whats the obesity percentage? 30%?

2018-06-06 19:48:02 UTC

@Poppy Rider a difference of 2 years?

2018-06-06 19:48:08 UTC

I like giving peole a choice

2018-06-06 19:48:35 UTC

given how fat the US is, i'd say that is rather impressive

2018-06-06 19:48:37 UTC

yeah, and falling.

2018-06-06 19:48:40 UTC

its like 4 years

2018-06-06 19:48:40 UTC

also

2018-06-06 19:48:46 UTC

the US has like 350Million people

2018-06-06 19:49:01 UTC

325, sorry

2018-06-06 19:49:11 UTC

and. economies of scale.

2018-06-06 19:49:25 UTC

economies of scale in thsi regard tend to scale negatively

2018-06-06 19:49:46 UTC

no. not if your talking about the price of care.

2018-06-06 19:50:11 UTC

tfw when you were younger you wanted your dad to buy a scale to keep your own weight in check

2018-06-06 19:50:19 UTC

and your dad told you to stop worrying about your weight so much

2018-06-06 19:50:28 UTC

2018-06-06 19:51:10 UTC

2018-06-06 19:51:31 UTC

2018-06-06 19:53:23 UTC

Been getting a bad rep lately, I'm a little defensive.

2018-06-06 19:53:30 UTC

well uh

2018-06-06 19:53:41 UTC

why do we need a government to hold people at gun point? are people really that awful they won't help other people when able?

2018-06-06 19:53:42 UTC

your country does seem to have flaws

2018-06-06 19:53:46 UTC

but so does ours

2018-06-06 19:55:01 UTC

You have a military. I'm not getting into a debate if tax is theft or not. Every one I have had always ends up just argueing over price not pricable.

2018-06-06 19:56:37 UTC

We have machines in our NHS that cost millions for very rare cases and go unused most of the time. With a larger population that would come down to less money per 'customer'

2018-06-06 19:56:39 UTC

been getting a bad rap lately? you personally or the UK?

2018-06-06 19:56:44 UTC

UK

2018-06-06 19:56:51 UTC

well join the party

2018-06-06 19:57:13 UTC

i can't think of a single other country that says anything good about america

2018-06-06 19:57:30 UTC

besides when we are giving them free money to fly more planes into us

2018-06-06 19:57:33 UTC

I love your constitution.

2018-06-06 19:57:59 UTC

I'd rathe have the US be the world police then China

2018-06-06 19:58:18 UTC

which is funny, because china has the population to be the world police

2018-06-06 19:58:58 UTC

i'm really surprised Russia and China don't push against the US harder

2018-06-06 19:59:18 UTC

they must not really care about much outside their area

2018-06-06 20:01:27 UTC

They're both on very thin ice with their own populations
