CalArts thinks don bluth is a joke lmfao
Mass higher education was a mistake
Fucking cal arts
there are very few jobs that require a post secondary education
Umm, I disagree
Most jobs in America are things like Walmart so Technically youre right
I wonder if a college degree is a requirement in the Space Force
I'd say there a lot of jobs that require post secondary education, in many fields
a lot sure. but most, no
But the thing is, you can also learn those skills on your own
So there's that
@missdanger the coast guard and air force are already super selective and basically require a college degree just for enlisted
yup
But it's kinda dumb to say you don't need a post secondary education, you know?
i think there are far too many jobs that list a college degree as a requirement that do not actually require anything close to a college degree to actually do
Yeah, true
many successful business are run by people who never went to school or dropped out
that's my major gripe with it
Um, not really
All i have is an itchy trigger finger and suicidal tendency. Can I be an ODST now?
College Degree means youre actually deticated to the profession + Have a investment in your Job
does it though?
Thats what employeers see
There's a bunch of lucky people who were talented when they were born
Like Zuckerberg
Do they accept any college degree, im working on a History Bachelor
You can have investment and be deticated without a degree but how does a Employeer know that
But it's a bad idea to say anyone can be Zuckerberg
Man, that tweet is making me reconsider things. Maybe words really CAN be as harmful as physical violence.
Lmao
I agree
It hurts my brain
To think that the studio which gave us fucking thundercats roar
most employers want experience over a degree in many field. or experience plus a degree
Considers who may be he creates animator of all time
Beneath them
a degree alone almost isn't enough anymore.
The Military is the ultimate starting job really
Experience + Free College + Free Housing + Free Food + Free Training
I dropped out and am in the top 5%
Hey if anyone is feeling down, here's uncle sam
"Yeah, but it's not economically viable these days, so it's an artform that should just die out" - art school student
Lol
Fucking shoot em all I say
Internet dad help with my self esteem issue
The sad thing is that a college degree became required partly because primary education was failing to educate basic things that it would've in the past, and now secondary education is failing
yup
Maybe there should be squads made up of convicted school shooters
medicone, engeeeing, etc. sure degrees are required
And they should be sent to eviscerate art schools from existence
many jobs could be a trade school
Hey guys talking about jobs
Should I go into medical?
Art is cool and an acceptable degree but don't expect to make money unless you get a job as a teacher or graphic designer
always demand for. medicine
it's hard work though
I've made up my mind to go into stem
Hard work isn't a problem
most jobs should be trade school; the ideals of academia (not just now) aren't that relevant for most professions
yup
There will be an ever increasingly amount of old people so yeah, medical and nursing is a safe bet
Either medical or engineering
I would say 50% plus should be trade schools
And in engineering, either civil or computer science
with licensing exams
Mandatory Language classes and Art classes are a waste of time
Ooh what are trade schools
Are they like welding courses and stuff?
Engineering for example should have a trade school (orcertain branches)
Nah
electrician, plumbing, welding
It would work for some engineers, not for others
Not that I'm advocating for this as a good system, but it is impressive how some communities are able to do as well in trained fields as they do without any formal acadamia. Like the street dentists in India for example. I'd still prefer to go to a dentists office, but it's interesting how well they're able to do many things
I've looked into the courses
yup agree. engineering trade schools should be a thing for some
If you are an Aerospace Engineer, you actually need a college degree
Engineering won't work in trade schools
You kinda need basic knowledge in chemistry and physics
My toothpick bridge held up pretty well and I didn't need any fancy degree
lol
The Confederate flag, today, is a symbol of resistance to forced racial mixing: The hatred directed by the jew & his minions against the white man race solutions: free association, apartheid, Crow.
How long until robots take over all the job except for maybe twitch streamers?
Robots can't lol
They're not gonna take over more than blue collar jobs
That's... not what the Confederate flag means to most who use it. It's just rebellion in general
Or maybe even assistants
i think while eventually robots will get to the point where they can compete in artistic fields, artistic jobs will always be dominated by humans because they are ultimately driven by passion
They can't lol
It's really hard to say how soon AI will advance to a point where they compete for a wide variety of jobs
Yaron Brooks has a good video on Automation
Anyone with basic knowledge of AI know this
obviously right now they can't, but the day will come
Nope, never
I for one welcome our new robot overlords
The current 'AI' made music is pretty damn impressive compared to what was possible 20 years ago
They can't make up shit, you see
sure it will
yeah they can
Nah
