Well, it's not just about the money.
I want a wave of law suits to push back against the SJW nonsense.
true
I want people to take notice what has been going on in the last few years.
I encourage you all to keep detailed records, date them, and have them attested to by a notary public
I would like to support people who have been in similar situations.
when it comes to gathering evidence about shit that happens to you
Diana Davison is a very good contact up in Canada.
She is not into defamation law, but she is very wise to the legal maneuverings from the SJWs.
What a blessed age.
๐
You're damn right, Scrib.
I'd even see if you can get the attention of people like Gad Saad, JBP, Lauren Southern and so forth.
It is spectacular.
But, by now they are probably too high and mighty to talk to the plebs.
if it had turned out differently, we'd have all of the hysteria and none of the tools to deal with it.
This age is truely blessed.
we'd just be another soviet union
or another weimar germany
Bigly blessed, even!
you would never hear from anyone until it was too late.
Your Social Justice Tribunals are hardcore cancer.
Yeah, megacancer
I can't believe how quietly that slipped past.
I'm a U.S. citizen as well, so that's the one I'll be keeping
Keep both.
They're pretty good at silencing people
Well, it's an open secret that Canada has zero separation of powers
The chief of the executive is the leader of the majority parliamentary party
and the parliament is the chief of the judiciary
!!!!
Even for Canadian legal standards it's a huge perversion of the process.
They wouldn't be talking about hybrid courts if the process was that malleable.
There are no rules in Canada, none.
They can literally make this shit up as they go.
wait wtf
Yes, but there is due process in Canada.
We have a "charter of rights and freedoms"
So they're play house when they're supposed to be grown ups
They are eroding due process in many of the same ways as in the US or elsewhere.
but the parliament has full rein of them
How in the fuck is that even allowed in a democracy?
The rape shield laws and so forth are growing.
They wouldn't put in the effort if it was just a free for all.
There is due process in Canada only if the trial court is the last one you see
They wouldn't need Social Justice Tribunals if they could just do whatever in criminal courts.
because if you appeal far enough, the parliament can decide on your petty case, directly.
Yes, that is theoretical.
It happened last month
Why can't they see how "She's an upstanding citizen" defense only helps those who've gotten a good position in the system?
It rarely happens. Far more people are affected by Social Justice Tribunals.
It's another source of cancer for sure, though.
The Social Justice Tribunals get their power directly from the Parliament
that's why I mentioned that
OH, I see.
You are pointing out the mechanisms.
Carry on, eh?
Because the judiciary doesn't stop at the supreme court in Canada, the tribunals can follow _none_ of the rules a court must follow in Canada
so technically speaking, no due process is necessary, not even of the incredibly limited application of that definition involved with the Human Rights Tribunal
I hope the Queen saves Canada.
The Queen doing almost anything except signing assents basically means that the Queen is no longer Queen the next morning.
But yeah ... that's pretty bad.
The Queen hasn't saved the UK
If you get fucked over in a US court, though, often times the penalties are very draconian.
sure
but at least you're in an actual court
with rules of evidence and shit
I guess most of the time.
sure, usually if you aren't in one, you could be in one if you elected to.
Some jurisdictions in CA have a conviction rate of 95%+.
or you would default to a court if you failed to meet the orders of the non-court authority imposing penalties.
CA is a cesspit
Right, it is.
And the other west coast states are becoming worse
and I firmly believe that its statistics should be separated by bodies in the U.S. government which take them.
OR and WA are emulating CA.
Oregon and Washington have stronger constitutions
That doesn't help you so much in a court.
and a better balance of rural political will
many things which are considered legal in California are not legal in the U.S.
from the legislative perspective
for example, this "all boards must have at least one female member" law is laughably discriminatory
Well, anyway, it's getting pretty bad in US courts.
I am the sole director on the board of my corporation
what they're basically saying is that men aren't allowed to incorporate in California, period.
Yes, that is laughable.
CA is ringing its own death knell.
I think the only state with a more long-winded constitution is Alabama. When they get that long, law doesn't get followed closely, and things go more according to the judges' interpretations
Well, my point is that this is most likely illegal.
Oregon and Washington tend not to pass laws which are overturned by a superior authority
I hope it is and that people take this chance to push it up to higher courts.
at least, not nearly at the rate that California does
It's the best chance they'll get.
It is not fair to compare the legislative dysfunction of Washington to that of California, in my opinion.
It is not even close.
I hope so.
It's not heading in the right direction in either state.
Make dueling legal again in CA. See if that cleans anything up
I mean, I think it is a mixed bag honestly.
duelling is legal in CA if you are black.
