i don't believe u
With bonus of less training needed, better compatibility of parts and ammo in emergencies, enemy snipers not murking the guy with the different gun first
keld is stuck in the 60's
nice
The SSgt story? I saw the photos but not the kill record
They decidedly murked the guy with the different gun first
Because itโs very clearly not an M16 or M4
The M14 worked as a battle rifle
Itโs not a marksmanโs weapon in the state it was issued as the EBR because it didnโt stay accurate
It didnโt even work well as a battle rifle
As evidenced by the length of time it was in service the first time
I said โworkedโ not โworked wellโ
It lasted longer than the Krag
Eeeeh it was an ok battle rifle, just almost obsolete at introduction
Then bad
And sort of lied to get into production anyway
Imagine if m14 was issued in 1936
Would have been pretty good
also the Italians did a better job in six years than the Americans did in nine
The BM-59 is what the M14 should have been
I always thought of that weapon as a sort of idealized Garand
Where the m14 is a bastardized Garand
Itโs a Garand action worth a detachable box magazine and select fire
Correct
Ergo the 59 is what the M14 should have been
Yeah im with ya there
Even so
If either these rifles were available in 1936 it would have been hot shit
Ah no I was thinking of the FN49
Another weapon that was sort of obsolete at time of manufacture but would have been great at the beginning of WWII
weapons being built at the end of a war, designed using lessons from that conflict, are generally better than the weapons they went into the conflict with
That's just common sense, so yeah if it was produced earlier it would have been good. Well no shit. But that doesn't matter because it was obsolete at the time of production
@Stubbs can I put a 14 inch suppressor on a pistol for memes?
A handgun, not an AR pistol.
Ergonomics would be shit I know, I just wanna know if I can.
Probably
There's got to one out there
Gr8
Coz I value meme accessories for guns
Imagine a PPK with a 14 inch suppressor at the range
At least if you're gonna do it for the memes, make it a funny meme
A ppk with a 14 inch suppressor would be funny
@Runes you want me to duct tape a Bowie knife to it while I'm at it or some shit, weeb?
I feel like people calling the guy with the japanese name and an anime girl pfp a weeb is pretty useless
You'd be like the hundredth person to have the idea 'oh, lemme put a huge can on a small gun!'
Not meant to be an insult, just an accurate statement
That's a lie
๐
I mean if you want to take it as an insult I can't really stop you
Have fun with that
Anyway
gg with your boring unoriginal meme
hope you shoot your baffles out
Zip 22 with a drum and pinned 16 inch can.
Or just a straight 16 inch barrel and a stock
I have compiled a list of projects I am tempted to do:
>Sporterized Fudd FN FAL (works better if it was a Rhodie FAL.)
>Martini Henry pistol working.
>5.7 bolt action.
>SBR mosin, Rhodesia green baby shit green, with 14' can, converted to black powder.
>K31 modified to pistol grip, cut off, pirate pistol/Obrez
ohmygod the last one exists, nevermind
@Deleted User look at the fugly mosin from IV88888
@Innaswamp I have, god bless is it disgusting
That's the best part lmao
I wanna see the Martini Henry pistol
Right? I think it's spergtastic
The fireball will be fantastic
@Mangy They exist, autistically enough
Glorious
But, not what I want.
I want to make a niggered up gun
That looks like a Khyber Pass gun
Pretty hard to make it worse
>Add this to a 5.7
'Tism
There's gotta be something from my list no one has attempted.
I've never seen a Fudded Sporterized FN FAL
You can't really fudd an fal
>Martini-Henri pistol
Why do you hate wrist bones?
11.9x59mm round
With smokeless poweder
.303 pistols are known in India because .303 is very popular and pistols are illegal for civs to own
but cut down rifles are ok?
No but people have .303 ammo and welders
.303 is also a piss-weak baby round that the British kept around out of sheer embarassment
tfw you have to ductape 12 .303 MGs to your Hurricanes so they can actually kill anything, and even then they still suck
Thatโs what happens when you initially make a black powder round
And then decide CORDITE is the best propellant on Earth for everything.
Even your naval guns
Which is why they fired slower, with lower velocity and pressure
And they had to have "oversized" guns with a higher count to give equivalent firepower to literally any other naval power.
Britain was still using coil wrapped guns when everybody else was making solid-cast barrels.
They're such a joke of a country
*over sized guns* yep they were some pretty large guns alright
*looks at Americans and germans putting 203s on cruisers*
*looks at American and IJN battleships*
Isn't England great
Considering they needed 14" guns to give near-equivalent ballsitics to a Krupp 12" gun, yeah it's bad. Their 16" guns were 16" in name only, their actual performance was equivalent to 12-14" guns.
The British had to make up for it by smashing as many guns as they could in to shittily designed turrets, with absolutely no safety measures
Which meant they had lower accuracy and reload rates, and a higher propensity for turret knockouts and crew casualties.
Then you have US and German guns, where an 8" cannon could hit like a 10-12" gun in terms of impact and penetration
italian guns are still my favorite
"yeah it's cheaper to replace gun barrels than entire ships so lets just super charge these mother fuckers"
